A girl named April walked down to the bus stop and waited. Then a tall girl shoved her so she and her friend could be at the front of the line. They started laughing. To April that wasn't funny.

April got off the bus and walked to her classroom. "First day of school is going great so far," April whispered to herself. Then all the sudden she was flying through the air! It was that same girl that was at the bus stop. She yet again shoved her. Then a girl not much taller than her said, "Are you okay?" She sounded gentle and kind. "Yes, I'm fine." She helped April up and they sat down. "I don't think I told you my name," the girl said "Katie and what's your name?" Katie asked. "April," She muttered. Then the class went quiet.

April's teacher walked in. "Hello everybody my name is Mrs. Collins" the Teacher exclaimed, "Now Sam, please be quiet." The girl that kept shoving April was Sam. That could've helped April earlier. Class went slower than a snail. By the end of class April was trying to remember important dates about the War of 1812. At last it was time for lunch. She sat down with Katie. They watched as Sam bullied people around. "She is really scary," April said. Katie nodded. "Just wait till recess," Katie said gravely.

April dreaded recess all day, but finally it was time. Sam started to glare at April and Katie. The class walked over to the playground. April and Katie slid to the back of the line ,but Sam was so tall that sneaking away wasn't an option. "Hey April," Sam said in a cold voice. "Hi Sam," April said with a squeak. This was probably the scarest moment of her life. Sam smirked at the scared look on April and Katie's faces. "This is going to be a long recess," Katie whispered. April agreed.
