Soap was having the BEST time on this day. He skittered up and down the sidewalk in front of his house, thinking he had the best life any cat could ask for. 

Soap never went very far because he really wasn't allowed to go outside. When he did, he always stayed close to his home because it was a little scary being out by himself. 

Soap tried not think that he might get in trouble. 

Piper will get worried when she finds he's gone.

He was feeling brave and adventurous today though. He watched the other neighborhood cats doing things he wanted to try. He saw Jackson digging in the neighbor's garden. 

Oh, oh Jackson, you're in trouble!!!

Oh, oh Jackson, you're in trouble.

In the REALLY CREEPY house down the street Soap saw Rascal ready to jump onto the roof.                                     Holy Snemptergs, Rascal, you are some brave cat! 

  The twins, Simon and Galaxy sure didn't look very 

  happy. In fact, Midnight was downright FRIGHTENED!

  Soap wondered what happened and quickly scurried away.

SOOOAP, SOOOAP, where are you? 

Meanwhile, as Soap continued on his outing, Piper was outside calling and calling. It wasn't like Soap to wander off.

Soap was too far away to hear Piper calling. He was watching Cleo running back and forth on top of a fence.  Soap wanted to try that too.

Oh dear, that didn't work out too well, but I haven't lost my magic touch of landing on all four of my feet, he thought.

Soap jumped up from his fall and continued on exploring, taking no notice of where he was going. He passed clothing stores, grocery stores, shoe stores, jewelry stores, gas stations and bakeries. Then he stopped in his tracks, A PET STORE.  He gazed at all the cat toys, cat food and cat beds in the window. Then he couldn't take his eyes off all the birds in cages. They looked so delicious..umm..colourful.  Boy, would he like to wander in there but a sign said no pets allowed without a human. Sheesh, what was that all about. After all, it was a PET STORE.

So he continued on and came to the most amazing sight. Cats and more cats everywhere, even a dog or two. It looked like they were having a great time jumping in and out of trash cans, dumpsters and garbage piles. Soap wandered closer to get a better look. YEEEW.  Suddenly he had to hold his paw up to his nose. 

THE SMELL!!! How horrible..

 She passed many shops, stores and restaurants. 

She kept hoping that she would see Soap outside a restaurant where the owner was a kind person and brought food out for him, he must be so hungry right now. Poor Soapy. Where was he?

Meanwhile, Piper was frantically looking and calling for Soap. 

At first she was angry that he had wandered off and then afraid that something bad might happen to him. She just wanted him to be home.

The further away from the garbage pile he got, Soap felt better and began to enjoy himself again. Soap decided to wander down to the ocean shore. He saw a boat tied up and became so excited, because he was going for a boat ride. Oh the things he would see.

Soap was amazed at all the ocean life below the water. Hmmm, he wondered if he could just scoop out a fish or two. He discovered he wasn't the best fishercat.

He thought how much Piper would love to see all this. At the thought of his best friend, he began to get a little homesick. He decided to start back home. 

OH NO, the waves started getting high and choppy. Soap was feeling rather pasty and nauseous. He couldn't row and had to hope the waves carried him back  to shore.
