I dedicate this to my self and the people that have been helping me do what I love every day.

Life is full of decisions. Even the smallest decision we make matters.
This week, I made a lot of decisions, both big and small. But, I want to focus on something that revolves around the concept of service.

This Saturday, I talked in a workshop webinar spearheaded by our University extension office in partnership with the Faculty of Arts and Languages for campus journalists under the Schools Divisions Office of Marikina. When I got the invite to talk for editorial writing, I had to make a decision...

There were a lot of self-doubts, especially that the students' School Paper Advisers will also be present in the said workshop. I had doubts about my capability to deliver the task.
Aside from that, I worried that if I fail, it might negatively affect the University or the faculty that invited and trusted me. When the time to decide finally came...

I accepted the invitation despite all of the doubts. Although I needed to decide quickly, I think my advocacy and responsibility weighed over my fears and anxiety. As a campus journalist from the University's official student publication, we were taught to strive and serve the community and beyond. So, I decided to accept the invitation.

I prepared for it even when I was in a rush. The day came, and it came out overwhelmingly successful. I was thrilled to have imparted my knowledge on the topic to 200+ campus journalists coming from different schools in Marikina. I was happy to have fulfilled our publication's mantra, "Ink Your Pen, Serve the People," for a day. That totally made my weekend.

That is my story for this week. I hope I was able to share something about service. See you next week!
