I used to think learning with technology just meant watching videos or drawing on a smartboard.

But, now I think that technology is a great tool to use for learning. It is fun and motivating for students, and allows them to learn from different perspectives!

I used to think productivity tools like Google docs and Google slides were only helpful when working in group projects.

Now I think they are helpful in many ways, in addition to collaborative work. Entire classes can work together in a single document, or you can access the same one from multiple computers, or even your phone. 

I used to think that digital organization was no different than using paper, a calendar, or sticky notes.

Now I think I can use it make and distribute information for whole groups of people. I can even get notified when I have a certain date or deadline. I can brainstorm and organize information in an easy-to-see way, and access it online, anywhere!

I used to think that learning about internet safety in school didn't work because they never went into enough detail.

Now I think that it is my responsibility as a future teacher to take the time to teach my students about internet safety and cyberbullying in detail. I would like to use a program like the Digital Driver's License program to teach them about these things.

I used to think that using audio or video in a lesson was just a lazy way of teaching.

Now I think that audio and video can be used in various ways to benefit students' learning. Audio and video also have the benefit of being able to be played over and again, even from home. Whole classes can be recorded and a sick student can watch it at home.

I used to think that the only way to take formative or summative assessments was by giving tests, quizzes, or exit tickets.
