The world was peaceful after the spies defeated Darkseid. It was peaceful until two mask makers used the power of the universe to make the Masks of Power. They found the energy source during an experiment in space. They had only enough energy to make ten masks. One of the brothers, Ekimu, made the Mask of Creation using just one part of the energy. But his brother, Makuta, used all of the remaining energy to create another mask. Once Makuta created his mask, they both showed their masks to the world. The brothers demonstrated the powers of the masks by putting them on. 

Ekimu felt the power but Makuta only felt the darkness since he put too much energy into it. Makuta's mask took control of Makuta's body and caused the whole world to collapse. Ekimu had only one chance to stop Makuta. It was to get Darkseid's hammer and knock the mask off. With that hammer, Ekimu charged at Makuta but realised that there was no way he could stop Makuta. Ekimu used all his power to swing the hammer and destroy Makuta's mask. The mask came off but the sudden dislocation was too powerful. 

The dislocation sent both brothers flying and they were sent into a sleep that lasted a millennium. After, Makuta's mask was split into nine masks that were hidden in the world. 

It was 5:30 am when the ninjas attacked. I was the first one up, ready to fight bad guys. There were five ninjas in all. Each ninja had a different element. The ninjas used Fire, Earth, Water, Life and Air. When we were fighting the ninjas, the ninjas dropped a piece of paper. The ninjas wanted to get it back but Rachel had defeated them all before they could. I unfolded the piece of paper and realised that it told one of the most important pieces of lost history ever recorded in the world. 

When times are dark and all hope seems lost, The Protectors must unite, One from each tribe, Evoke the power of past and future And look to the skies for answer. When the stars align, Six comets will bring timeless heroes To claim the masks of power And find the Mask Maker. United the elements hold the power to defeat evil. United but not one.

When the comets strike Earth there will be six heroes, one from each tribe. Together they will claim the masks: 

Tahu, Kopaka, Onua, Lewa, Pohatu, Gali, Crewana, I-sotormor, Creama and Niljuu.

It was dark and all hope seemed lost when Makuta made the Mask of Control. The mask was extremely powerful and caused the whole world to shake and rumble. Makuta had become a monster and it took years to bring him back. His brother Ekimu had to gather all of the elements on a specific island. The island is filled with monsters and Ekimu had only one chance of surviving.

Ekimu put on the Mask of Creation and survived the island. He made it out of there safely but unfortunately the elements he had gathered aren't powerful enough to defeat Makuta so he had to make a new element. The new element was not as powerful as the dark but it had made the new mask as powerful as the Mask of Control. Ekimu held Darkseid's hammer and knocked the Mask of Control off Makuta's face. 

The sudden dislocation caused a radioactive wave that sent the whole city into the shadow realm. The battle in the city was just the beginning. After a few years, Makuta had found the right follower and commanded him to destroy the island where Ekimu found the elements. Once the follower had completed the mission, the Toa appeared. The Toa stopped Makuta's follower. 

Even though  he's dead we can still feel his power today. After another few years, Makuta was brought back to life by the Hunter. The Toa stopped Makuta again and buried his body and mask in an ancient labyrinth. 

The spies were amazed that the ninjas had stolen such an important piece of history that might cost more than a billion dollars to buy. The spies had guessed that a group of people were going to bring Makuta back to life.

The Sacred Temple of Time

"Makuta, I will bring you back to life," cried the Hunter II.

"You Must bring me back," shouted Makuta.

Spies base

"We must stop the bad guys before they bring Makuta back to life," I cried.

Volcano

We marched across the hot, dry desert as we reached the volcano. We could see a hot energy swirling around the volcano like it was cursed. We knew that Makuta sent his minions to the volcano to get the mask of fire.
