This book is dedicated to everyone who loves music and dream of becoming famous.  

Makayla and Malaya are twin sisters who dream of becoming famous singers like their idol Whitney Houston. They have been singing since the age of 5. The twins who are now 10 years old, are different in some ways. Makayla is compassionate and loves school while Malaya is loyal and enjoys dancing. They both love music and were always singing around the house.

  The Gift to Sing

Their first opportunity to sing in public was in a Sunday morning Church Service. The pastor was impressed with Makayla and Malaya's wonderful and powerful voices. They were always asked to sing at funerals and other church events. Their parents Mr. and Mrs. Mal saw their daughters' passion and love for music. They  decided to get a vocal coach to help with their daughters voice training.

Their big break came when they entered a singing competition talent show on January 6th, 2021. They did an amazing job singing  the ''Fight Song'' and won the competition. Everyone thought they sounded like a sweet songbird. They gained many followers on their Instagram account. Mr. and Mrs. Mal were so proud of their daughters. 

        The Talent Show

A few weeks later Makayla and Malaya were asked to sing the National Anthem for the Toronto Raptors basketball game on March 21, 2020. The sisters were very excited because the Toronto Raptors are their favorite basketball team. 

      The Big opportunity 

TORONTO RAPTORS

Makayla and Malaya entered many virtual singing competitions such as ''Rising Stars'' and ''Canada's Got Talent''. They did very well and felt like they were on the road to becoming famous. Their parents were very proud of them.

Makayla and Malaya went on to win many more competitions and became known as the ''The Songbird Twin Sisters''. They were also featured in a very popular newspaper article. 

   Stars are born

Their vocal coach who was impressed with their progress decided to enter Makayla and Malaya in a singing competition in Hollywood later that year. Makayla and Malaya were elated they were selected after the audition. They were on their way to the ''Hollywood Vocal stars Singing Contest''. Makayla called her best friend Evie to tell her the amazing new, ''Evie, Evie, we are going to Hollywood''. Evie screamed ''Can I come'', they both laughed.
