Once, there was a little dog named Rex who wanted to learn how to sing and make beautiful music. Rex had never sung before, but he had heard plenty of music and knew he could do it!

Rex recalled a simple and familiar tune and began to howl to his heart's content. However, Rex quickly noticed that something seemed off about the melody which he was howling with such vigor.

Mary had a little lamb, little lamb...
Unsure of the cause of his problem, Rex decided to seek the help of the friendly songbird from outside. Rex had heard this bird sing on many occasions, and knew he knew her to be wise in the ways of music and kind to her neighbors.

Rex approached the songbird and politely asked for her guidance. Happy to oblige, the songbird asked Rex to sing the melody he had been struggling with, which Rex eagerly did.
