Thank you very much for your time :D

Last Sunday, my mother, who was already vaccinated last Friday, informed me that Monday would be the last batch of AstraZeneca vaccine in Navotas, and they still accept walk-ins and even without comorbidity. From that moment, I decided to get vaccinated. So I immediately fill out the registration form and secure a QR code from them. Whether they will accept us or not are both fine.
According to the information on the Facebook page, the walk-ins are for 1 pm-3 pm, but my tita and I decided to go there early. To our surprise, the line was not long! And the majority of those who have appointment (they are supposedly in the morning) did not go.

Hence, when we went there, the front liners assisted us immediately to the first step even though it was still not yet time for the walk-ins. The process was fast because, in just 20 minutes, we already got vaccinated.

I am still shocked because I got vaccinated even though I am not in the priority line, so I asked personnel in the vaccination area. The personnel said that out of 250 slots reserved for those who had appointments, only few went, and there are another 250 slots for the walk-ins. They cannot waste the vaccine.
Also, the allotted vaccines also must be administered immediately because of the expiration date. Hence, they have decided to accept people who are willing to get vaccinated but those walk-ins who are in the priority line will be, of course, accommodated first.
At first, I was scared because I saw my mom had a slight fever, headache, and chills last Saturday due to the vaccine. The side effects of the AstraZeneca, I indeed felt it after 12 hours, but luckily I only had mild symptoms. Thanks to the paracetamol every four hours.
I hope people will get vaccinated as it is crucial now especially those who are in the priority line. Being scared because of the vaccine? It is normal. Side effects? All the vaccines do have it.
In my observation, many Filipinos did not want to get vaccinated because of the things they read/watch on social media, exaggerated stories from other people, or not well-informed about their vaccination area/requirements needed. I hope that in the next few months, many people will have the courage to step up and be #Vaccinated.
