Olivia woke up the Saturday before school starts and decided she needed to go shopping.  Her mom gave her $300 to spend.

Olivia knows that at her favorite store, shirts are $15, pants are $25 and shoes are $50. But she isn't sure how many she can of each item get with her $300.  She decides to think back to what she learned in math last year to see if she can figure it out.

Olivia remembered that she had learned about something called inequalities.  She decided to set one up to represent her shopping budget.

P will represent pants

H will represent shoes

S = 5

P = 3

H = 3

Olivia found out she can get 5 shirts, 3 pants and 3 pairs of shoes and heads to the store excited to get her back to school wardrobe ready!
