Dano the Dino Detective wants to know what 

the Organic Molecule Hypothesis is all about.

This is Dano. He is the best Dinosaur 

Detective in all of Pterodactylville. 

One day Detective Dano the Dino's 

little sister, Dina Dino, came to him 

with a huge question!

"Big Brother, do you know what the 

Organic Molecule Hypothesis is?"

"I am sorry Dina but I don't 

know what the Organic 

Molecule Hypothesis is. But I 

am sure I can figure it out with 

the help of my friends."

"Mom, do you know what the 

Organic Molecule Hypothesis is?" 

asked Dano. 

Mama Dino replied, "I know that a  

hypothesis is an idea that you can 

test, but you will have to ask your 

Father for more details about that 

particular hypothesis." Mama replied 

kindly.

"I'm going to go ask him now!" 

Exclaimed Dano

"Dad! Dad! Mama said that you could 

tell me about the Organic Molecule 

Hypothesis!" Shouted Dano.

"Well some scientists believed that 

lightning struck Earth's atmosphere 

billions of years ago, and in our 

atmosphere there are many different 

gases, which reacted to the shock 

and made organic molecules." Stated 

Dad Dino.

"Dad, I don't understand what that 

means." Admitted Dano.

"Well, son, a long long time ago 

lightning struck Earth's Air, and the 

air reacted and made tiny 

molecules. Molecules are what 

make up everything!" Explained 

Dano's Dad. 

"Oh, I think I understand now! But 

Mom said that a hypothesis was 

something that could be tested?" 

Dano said excitedly.

"You are absolutely right Dano," said 

Dad Dino, "But I am not an expert on 

the experiment and that is why I 

have this old map that should lead 

you through the experiment."

First on the map is Sammy the 

seagull's house. Sammy lives in a 

lighthouse by the beach. Dano's 

Mama said that long ago scientist 

knocked on Sammy's door to see if 

they could take some of the ocean's 

water.

"Sammy do you know what the 

Organic Molecule Hypothesis is?" 

Dano asked.

"I've heard a little bit about that 

experiment." replied Sammy the 

Seagull, "I heard that the scientists 

heated up the ocean water that they 

took and the steam that was 

released rose into a different 

chamber."

Dano thanked Sammy and went 

off to the next place on the map 

which was the shore where Ellie 

the Electric Eel lives.
