Once upon a time, in the mountains of Uganda, there lived a gorilla named Dan. Dan, like most mountain gorillas, had a very broad chest, and large hands and feet.
Dan was having a tough week, as his parents had both been illegally poached
One day, Dan was enjoying a nice Bamboo snack when he noticed a group of humans
The people had a big machine that started knocking down plants and trees. This was nothing new to Dan, as he had lost many friends to habitat destruction.
Dan ran and told his few remaining friends the unfortunate news. They realized that something had to be done to save the mountain gorillas.
But what they didn't realize was that there were several negative effects that would happen if they went extinct.
If Mountain Gorillas went extinct, their predators would have to find other species to eat. Gorillas keep their predators full for a while, so they would need to find other animals to eat.
