Once upon a time, there was a girl who hated poetry.

She confidently proclaimed it to anyone who asked (and sometimes people who didn't).

Poetry was boring. It was undecipherable. Analyzing it made her want to rip her eyes out. And she refused...REFUSED...to read it.

Until one day...she had to.
As it turned out, she had to take at least one poetry course in order to graduate. She cried. She sighed. She cursed whoever was in charge of graduation requirements.

And she signed up for 20th Century British Poetry.

She showed up to the first class full of trepidation. She wanted to run out of the room, to take any other class. But she couldn't.

It was a graduation requirement, after all.
Class began. As the professor introduced himself and the course, the girl began to feel more at ease. She hated poetry, but her professor didn't. His enthusiasm was contagious. Maybe this class wouldn't be so terrible after all.
