Mr. Whiskers has lived on the farm since he was an itty-bitty kitten. Here is the story of how that came to be.. Farmer Joe was out with the animals one day and heard a quiet and soft sounding "meow."

He realized that the meow was coming from the barn, so he got off of his tractor and headed over there. Once he got there, he noticed an orange kitten. With no other houses around and no momma kitty, he knew he had to take the kitten in as his.

"Hey there little kitty."

Farmer Joe knew he would be loved greatly on the farm. He decided to name the orange kitten Mr. Whiskers. He took Mr. Whiskers around the farm to meet all the other animals. 

"I am going to name you Mr. Whiskers. Come with me, little guy. Let's go meet your new farm animal friends."

"Our first stop is to meet the duck triplets. Their names are Lily, Ted, and Marshall. They are headed to the water to swim and cool down."

"Here, you have the pig family. There is momma pig, daddy pig, and their three piglets. The piglets love to play in the mud and sun bathe all day long," said Farmer Joe to Mr. Whiskers."

"Meet the cows, Mr. Whiskers." Farmer Joe said. "They spend their days grazing in the fields. Don't be fooled though, this is not all of them. The rest of the heard is out at the pond cooling down and getting a drink."

Farmer Joe and Mr. Whiskers were getting tired, hungry, and thirsty. They decided to take a break from meeting the farm animal friends to go meet Farmer Joe's wife, Sally, and take a break.

"Sally, dear." Farmer Joe said. "Look what I found out in the barn! He was all alone, so I have decided we should take him in. I have named him Mr. Whiskers, and we have been going around meeting the other animals."

"Oh that is lovely!" said Sally. "What a sweet kitten. Let me get you both a drink and some food."

"Thank you, dear." replied Farmer Joe to his wife, Sally. "After a drink and some food, we are going to go back out to the barn and meet the rest of the gang."

After taking a break and getting a drink and some food, Farmer Joe and Mr. Whiskers went to the barn to see the horses. They were outside getting ready to eat!
