This is the story of Beaver and how he got his tail flat. 

Many years ago, Beaver had a big and very strong tail that helped him do many things, such as building his dam. His tail was like a fifth leg, it was so powerful and muscular that it could bring pieces of wood from kilometres away.

One day, while Beaver was finishing his dam and putting his last piece of wood on the dam, the rain started to fall and the wind got stronger and stronger.

An intense waterflood began. Beaver was scared that his dam would get destroyed. 

This is exactly what happened. As it was flooding, the water from the lake took the pieces of wood that Beaver had put in during his hard days of labour. One by one, the pieces were brought by the water. Beaver was panicking. He tried to swim to catch as many pieces as he could, but his tail was so heavy that he could not swim very fast.
