Why is it important to stay active?
The reason it is important to stay active is so that our bodies can grow strong muscles and bones.
The more we get our bodies used to being outside and exercising, the easier it will be when we begin doing sports.
Some children would rather sit inside and play video games. Although playing video games are fun. Being outside playing with friends, and getting sun is much better.
There are many different things you can do outside that you can't do inside. For Instance, you can throw a ball, ride a bike, swing, play basketball, race your friends, and so much more!
Another important fact about being outside and staying active is that while you are out there playing you are increasing your heart rate! Believe it or not, it is good for the health.
BY now, I am sure you are asking your parents if there are any fun family outings you can do to stay active? The answer is, yes!
I will give you a few activities that you can do with your family to stay active. You can pack a backpack with snacks and spend one Saturday evening riding a bike around the neighborhood. By the end of the bike ride, your legs will definitely burn!
You can also grab a ball, go outside, and play catch with your parents, siblings, and maybe even a friend. This will be fun because you can make a fun game out of it.
