Let's make a rainbow!

First, we start with the color...

RED

Red is the first color in a rainbow and cannot be made by mixing other colors together. Red is a primary color.

Strawberries, cherries, ladybugs, watermelon, and raspberries are all red

Next, we will use the color...  

ORANGE

Orange is the second color in a rainbow and can be made by mixing red and yellow together.

Orange is a secondary color.

Pumpkins, oranges, carrots and basketballs are all orange.

Now it's time to use the color...

YELLOW

Yellow is the third color in a rainbow and cannot be made by mixing other colors together. 

Yellow is primary.

Sunshine, smiley faces, cheese, bees and bananas are all yellow.

The next color is...

GREEN

Green is the fourth color in a rainbow and can be made by mixing yellow and blue together.

Green is a secondary color.

Turtles, clovers and leaves are all green.
