Rationale
A Match Made in Jamaica, is an Environmental Print book filled with activities and lessons geared towards helping the average Jamaican child, aged 2-7, to have fun while learning and developing his/her emergent literacy skills.

Rationale
After several visitations to the different book stores in Jamaica, we noticed that there were no Environmental Print books, inclusive of both standard English and Patois. As a result, we decided to create this book.
Rationale
The use of Patois increases children's confidence, motivation and enthusiasm for learning, as this is the first language for many Jamaican children. (Henry, 2000).
Rationale
Also, In order to facilitate the diverse population of Jamaican children while embracing our culture, we have incorporated both Patois and Standard English.
