WHAT IS ANXIETY?
Anxiety in children consist of tantrums, aggression, hyperactivity, troubles falling sleep, avoidance, panic attacks, separation anxiety, fear and phobias.
Anxiety is your body's natural response to stress.
It is a symptom of disconnection. A neurobiological and physiological mechanism that underlies anxiety.
Anxiety may consist of some parenting styles.
It effects emotional regulation. It maybe caused by the environment and societal factors. All of this contributes to an increase in anxiety in children.
Childhood trauma can cause anxiety even into adulthood because early coping mechanisms of the body, mind, and spirit may persist. Anxiety can be redirected with using positive thoughts, feelings and redirection.
Childhood trauma is a major predisposing factor in forming anxiety symptoms. Trauma can include physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, exposure to domestic violence, parental substance abuse and abandonment.
SYMPTOMS ANXIETY:
Anxiety occurs when it is hard to concentrate, difficulty sleeping or having bad dreams. A child maybe not eating well, they are irritable and angry. They may have constant worrying and negative thoughts.
When a child has anxiety they may have feelings of tension and they may appear to feel fidgety.
Child anxiety often looks like an intense form of anger. It is a lack of emotional regulation. A child may appear sad. They may burst into tears without explanation.
The child may have social isolation and have avoidance tendency.
ANXIETY: a child may appear to have tension, they maybe scared, and have panic attacks. And they may worry. Their symptoms may also result in stress, fear and restlessness.
Additionally, children who experienced anxiety may also have difficulties concentrating at school and paying attention. They may not be able to sleep well or they may have bad dreams. Finally, they may have negative thoughts.
