The Centaur
In a galaxy 100,000,000,000 blackholes away…
A girl named Carly was born. After her 8th year on earth, she began to develop differently than other kids: when she dreams about dinos, cavemen, or even the future, she goes back or forward in time.
All the kids at school teased her, but one kid named Ashy didn’t. She was having similar problems. However, her problem was teleporting when she dreams.
Day after day, the kids teased them, but they stuck together like a sticker on paper.
On Carly’s 9th birthday, she was given a spaceship from her family and told to go to space with Ashy and never come back.

Chapter One, First Year Off Earth
As they flew off earth staring down at what they had left, never to return,
“That was home,” said the younger of the two, Ashy. “Now where do we go?”
“I’m not sure” said the older one, Carly.
Just then the computer screen flashed on, all the lights went out but the TV stayed on.
“!!!!!” both the girls said.
And then the TV said… “You are not alone in space, you MUST defeat the aliens before the summer solstice! Or your loved ones will be gone…” and then it went blank.
“What did that mean?” said Ashy.
“I have no idea, but we have to defeat the aliens before next year's solstice,” said Carly.

“Our powers!” cried Ashy.
“If we practice,” said Carly.
“We can defeat the aliens!!!” said both girls at once.
As they were looking for a place to practice, they found the manual. It had all the commands and everything they needed to know on space and the ship!
As they read, Carly said, “I found a command that will help!”
And, she said, “Expand the space for a space to practice!”
And with that, a door opened on the opposite side of the room. When they went in, it was amazing. 50 feet tall, and wide, it was a perfect cube!
“Wow!” said both girls, “The metal is so smooth and look at all the targets!” said Ashy, “Omg I found the books to help with our powers!”
As the girls practiced, the clock ticked. However, there was no grown-ups to tell them to go to bed, so they stayed up all night.

The next morning…
“I’m tired, I want to go to bed,” said Ashy.
“Okay, me too,” said Carly.
As they walked into the bedroom, they noticed the lights were back on.
“That's odd,” said Carly.
They went to the bathroom to get ready. As they were getting into bed, the bed automatically wooshed down into a new room, “AWESOME!!” cried Ashy.

Chapter Two, The New Room
As they searched the room, they uncovered all sorts of stuff: buttons, levers, papers, desks and more! As Carly was reading the papers, Ashy was playing with the dolls she had found. The note Carly was reading said: Go to dragon island. Your future waits in the hooves and scales there. You must use this stop on the journey. If you don’t, you might fail.
After that it was ripped in half, Carly pocketed it and she walked on. Why there were levers and buttons, she didn’t know, but she hadn’t read the manual yet.
“ARG!” yelled Carly.
“Geez, quiet down, we don’t want the whole galaxy to hear us,” said Ashy.
“The levers and buttons might be useful, but we don’t know what they do,” said Carly. “Lets just flip or click them all.” suggested Ashy.
“What type of girl are you? A maniac? One might self -destruct!” said Carly.

“Opps, sorry, no pressing buttons until you say so, got it!” said Ashy.
“It’s time for bed, c’mon,” said Carly.
“Fine,” said Ashy.
They went to bed, but Ashy woke up at the brink of dusk, and in a computer-ish voice, she said
“Self-destruct in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5...”
“I'M AWAKE!” cried Carly.
“He ha he ha” giggled Ashy.
“AS-HY!” yelled Carly.
“Sorry, I couldn’t help it. You should have seen your face,” said Ashy.
“Let’s go get some breakfast. I'll let you off this time,” said Carly.
Breakfast was a delicious meal of pancakes and fruit. But then, just outside the window, something flew past.
“What the!!” said Ashy for she was closest to the window and could feel the breeze of the flying creature.

10-9-8-7-6-5

“It probably was just weird space drifts. I mean we were in an unpredictable space!” said Carly.
“Says the girl who has had her nose in a book for the last 18 hours!” said Ashy.
“It must be something, I know I saw it out there. They're planning; the aliens are preparing!”
“Oh don’t worry, it’s fine! It’s not for another year. Relax, the ship is fine. We're fine. Just relax for now, and be tense when we fight,” said Carly.
“Fine! Have it your way! Relax and chill when the aliens are planning! Great plan!” yelled Ashy.
“Okay, okay, let's practice,” said Carly.
As they went back into the training room, a chill settled on the air.
“What's that?” asked Ashy.
“Another trick of yours, I’m assuming,” said Carly.
“I swear it's not, and chill, will you,” said Ashy.
“Fine, but let's make practice quick and change route to Dragon Island. This route is giving me the chills,” said Carly.

“-_-” glared Ashy.
The computer then said… “Landing on Dragon Island in 10-9-8-7-6”
“Get in a seat and buckle up!” yelled Carly.
Two seat buckles went ‘click,’ as the computer said, “3-2-1 we are now on Dragon Island. Beware of the dragons.”
“Unbuckle here! Just remember to keep a fire extinguisher close!” joked Carly.

Chapter 3, Island of the Dragons
Just then, a roar echoed across the land.
“The military dragons and centaurs. Oh yay, let's just teleport out of this, can you?” groaned Carly.
“No time to talk, they're getting closer!” said Ashy.
And with a pop, they were on the other side of the military, who were now raiding the ship.
“There we go, let's go!” said Carly, “oh and thanks!”
“Well, we’ll be stuck here until we find the so-called ‘wise’ centaur.”
Just then, they turned around and saw a whole valley with nothing but bustling businesses and houses.
“Oh my word! This is will to be harder than finding a 1915 penny in a pile of 1916 pennies!” said Carly
“Oh don’t worry, he lived in 1856 when this was just a village!” said Ashy. “Will you do the honors?”

“I’m the only one who can!” said Carly as they zoomed off into a wormhole.
As they landed, the city changed into a village.
“Oh good! Much easier!” said Carly.
“Just the magic of girls!” said Ashy, “now let's get searching!”
They searched and searched the streets, and then, they came upon a creaky old house they heard all the villager-centaurs talking about.
“Well, we're here! We have to go in. He’s in there,” whispers Ashy.
As they walked in, they heard high-spirited music playing, and it looked like a mansion!
“Mr. Centaur?!” asked Carly when they were in the main room.
“Who is it this time!” grumbled the centaur.
“Uh, Carly and Ashy,” said Carly.
“Hum never heard of you, what do you want?” he asked.
“We want advice on how to defeat the aliens,” said Ashy.
“First shelf on the right, take ONE book,” said the Centaur.
“Thank you so much, what do we have to do or give in return?” asked Carly.
“Nothing, now go away,” said the Centaur because he saw Ashy already had a book.

As they exited, they were amazed, for whoever entered the house was never to return because the house vanishes for the people who enter.
“Okay…. What book did you grab?” asked Carly.
“Aliens and Their Weaknesses” said Ashy, sounding proud.
“Oh my! That will really help us!” exclaimed Carly.
“One of their more common weaknesses is salt!” said Ashy, “One rare one is Oxygen.”
“Where do we get the oxygen? I mean we live in space,” said Carly.
“Um, it’s rare. I don’t think we need it… “ said Ashy.
As Ashy went on and on and on reading, Carly took the chance to look around. She saw some strange things: centaurs without control over their front legs, no horns or hair. “*” Strange “*” she thought. Just then a centaur flew toward them.
“DUCK!!!” yelled Carly.
“Where?” asked Ashy.
“Get down, duck!” Carly yelled again.
Just in time, both girls ducked, and the alien-centaur flew right over them, but more was to come. They kept dodging and weaving their way through all alien-centaurs, and then they were in the ship and speeding off to the next location.

Chapter 4, Back In The Ship
In the ship, “Well we got the book! Now we need the help of so-called ‘magic robot’ aka ‘MR’ to get them to help us with our magic,” said Carly.
“I have no idea how you remember all this,” said Ashy.
“You mean you don’t stay up till 1 am reading?” Carly asked.
“I wake up at 6 am. I don’t know how you can keep interest in books for so long!” said Ashy.
They kept arguing about who knew more about what, and then it turned into a sleep-plan-argue. They lost sight of the giant wind and then…
“WARNING WARNING WARNING CODE 573 error error”
“CODE 573!!! INTRUDER!!!” screamed Carly.
“Grab ANYTHING, and let’s find it,” suggested Ashy as she picked up her bat.
“Why do you even have a bat in here?” asked Carly as she picked up her bow and plastic-head arrows.
They lurked around corners and everything until they came to the door.
“OMG! Aliens!” whisper-screamed Ashy.
“Get the book,” whispered Carly.
“Got it!” Ashy said back, but she forgot to whisper.

They heard an alien say “@#%@$%@$^@#$%@^&%^&%$&*#%^@%#$%$%^” (Translation: Quickly a human. Get the laser guns. Bar the doors. ATTACK!)
“Wha?” said Ashy as she raised her bat.
“ATTACK!!!” yelled Carly.
Carly got the far back ones knocked off their portable bridge. Ashy swung her bat and kicked out the ones close, which were only five. The others stayed back.
As the aliens backed away, Ashy flung the unconscious ones out the door.
Once that was done, they went back to the main room, “Let’s get ready for another attack, just in case,” said Ashy.
“Okay fine, let's go,” said Carly.
As they entered, they were amazed.
“What in the world happened here? A tech tornado?” asked Ashy, for the training room now had a computer (which was bigger than the main one), robot-dummies that could move, dino-proof walls, and last, but not least, walls that you couldn’t teleport out of.
“Umm, I’ve got no clue, and what is the computer's name?” said Carly.
“My name is com35eo50, what would you like assistance with today?”
“Umm,” said Ashy.

“We would like to know how to get better at our fighting skills,” said Carly.
“Very well, grab 1 VIRTUAL weapon each and we may begin,” said the computer.
Both girls took a weapon. Carly with a sword and Ashy with an ax, the practice began. The robots started to go forward towards them, but the girls were faster. Ashy teleported to the back of her enemy and chopped it with the ax; it virtually vanished. Carly skidded to the side of her enemy, and it turned a full 360. In that time, Carly stabbed hers, and it too disappeared.
“Level one complete, Start level 2 in 3-2-1,” said the computer.
They slashed and stabbed, flipped and skidded until they reached level 100.
“Phew, last level, we’ve got this, or not…” said Ashy, as 6 bots came out this time, each holding a bow.
“Tactic number 57 is go!” said Carly.
“Huh?” said Ashy.
“Our 57th time we did this,” said Carly.
As the battle kept going, they kept fighting, swerving and getting all the way around all 6 robots slashing and stabbing everywhere they could.
