According to The Gale Encyclopedia of Children's Health: Infancy through Adolescence "Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are negative experiences a child encounters before the age of 18."
On February 1st, 2003 a premature baby girl was born.
She had to stay in the hospital for the first five weeks of her life.

She moved to Arizona before her fifth birthday and lived with her aunt's and uncle's before her family found their first house.

Her father needed to move back east for work and her mother was left with two kids.

It was a stressful time for the little girls mother and it wasn't always happy.
Soon her father came home and she started her first year of school.

According to Child Psychiatry & Human Development, "Adverse experiences in childhood have been associated with the development of insecure attachment styles in adulthood."
Soon the little girl had to move to a new school and say goodbye to her old friends.
Because of the child's secure attachment style, she felt confident that she could make new friends.
After being at this new school for a little over a month, she was getting bullied.

According to a video from the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, "Children who are at greatest risk for the poorest outcomes in learning and health and behavior are children who experience a pile up of accumulative burdens one after another after another of risk factors and then the burden is more than any child could be expected to overcome." (1:32).
She became close to her family because she felt she did not have any friends and developed anxiety.
Soon the little girl moved once more and was afraid to go to the new school.

Along with the little girl moving to a new school once more she also had to take care of her little brother after school, so the parents got the girl a phone and she was soon introduced to social media.
