One Sunday afternoon, Jessie and her little brother, Randy, were playing hide and seek. They had been playing for hours.
Suddenly, Jessie heard her best friend, Steph, running toward her screaming her name.

"You won't be able to find me!"
"Jessie!!

Jessie had always been jealous of Steph. She was tall, blonde, and she had really pretty green eyes. Everyone loved Steph. Jessie always wondered what it would be like to look like Steph.
"She's so perfect..." Jessie thought to herself as her best friend approached her.

"Hey girl, did you forget we were supposed to hangout today?"

Randy went inside, leaving the girls outside to hangout.
Jessie and Steph were together for hours. They played hide and seek, talked about school, even about their plans for the weekend.
However, Jessie did not know what this week had in store for her...

"I think my family and I are going to the beach this weekend."
"Wow, that's so fun! I think I am going to an amusement park."
It was getting late and too dark to stay out and play. Steph left to go home and when Jessie's mother called her in for dinner, she quickly ran inside realizing how hungry she was.
After dinner, Jessie and Randy played video games. "I'm going to win!" Chanted Randy as his car was ahead in their game.

"Hahahaha, first place!"
Once everybody was asleep, Jessie woke up and went to the kitchen to pour herself a glass of milk. As she poured her drink, she thought about how jealous she was of Steph. She wondered what it would be like to have all of the attention she had.
"I wish that I was just like Steph," she muttered quietly before drinking the glass of milk.

The next morning, Jessie woke up feeling different. She looked in the mirror noticing that she even looked different. She felt great, almost as if she was a new person. She wondered how this happened. Her closet was filled with brand new fancy clothes and she even had all of this makeup that she had never used before.

"Wow! I feel great!"

That day at school, Jessie saw Steph and quickly ran up to her. "Do you like my outfit?" Jessie asked panting heavily from sprinting through the hallway. "Oh wow, you look different," claimed Steph, as if she was a little bit jealous.
People were looking at her differently than they usually do. Jessie was very proud of her new look.

"She looks different."
"Is that Jessie?"
"You look so pretty!"
