Sterling is so excited he starts school today. The schools are requiring all students and staff to wear their mask to keep them safe from Covid and other yucky dieases. As Sterling was leaving for school he put on his mask and said "Look Mommy, I'm a doctor," with his big eyes smiling over his mask. "Yes you are" said Mommy.

When Sterling arrived at school, all the students were at least 6 feet apart in line. He saw Mr. Smith the school Principal standing at the gate wearing his mask too. "Good Morning Mr. Smith", said Sterling. "Good Morning young man " replied Mr. Smith". " I am glad to see you are wearing your mask", said Mr.Smith.
As Sterling made his way towards the playground, he notice the kids were not running around like they did last year. They were already in their classroom line standing several feet apart one by one behind each other. The bell rung, and everyone was walking in a single line to their classrooms.
Ms Lisa Strong is Sterling teacher. She is standing outside of her classroom door, giving all her students an invisible high five as they entered the room. Sterling notice Ms Strong is also wearing a mask, as well as the other kids in her class. Ms Strong ask them all to find their name tag and go sit at their desk.

Ms Strong closed the door and walk to her desk, just as she was about to sit down, there was a knock at the door. It was Johnny. He was late and not wearing a mask. Sterling asked Johnny, "Where is your mask?", before Ms Strong could say a word. "I don't have to wear a mask" replied Johnny. "Who said?" one of the other kids yelled out from the back of the room. Ms Strong said"Quiet down class", then turned to Johnny and asked him to come to her desk. She pulled out a blue mask and said at the moment the school is asking all students to wear a mask to school, to help stop the spread of some of

these yucky diseases. Johnny took the mask and put it on, then walked over to his desk. He wasn't happy about it but he did it.
Ms Strong started her day by discussing how important it is to keep our mask on and only take it off when we are eating or drinking. She said we need to keep our hands washed, cover our face when we sneeze and cough, and how important it is to maintain our distances. Sterling raised his hand, "Ms Strong, how can we play together, if we have to keep our distance?" "Well!" Ms Strong said with a deep thought. "You can play four-squares". "Aww! No handball" said Erik. "You could still play handball, because there is still some distances between the two players", replied Ms Strong.
"Yay! the class yelled out as they all agreed. Ms Strong told the class how important it is for students to respect each other. When they do not feel well, they should stay home, that way other people do not get sick".
"Oh my!, look at the time", said Mr. Strong. "It's recess", yelled Journie. "Is anyone taking out a snack? said Ms Strong. Sterling raised his hand, "Yes I am". Well, Sterling go to the sink and wash your hands, that way they are clean. Do anyone else besides Sterling needs to wash their hands? asked Ms. Strong. One by one all the students who were taking out snacks lined up to wash their hands.

I'll grab the balls said Peter as he walked out the door. "The handball or the big ball?" asked Erik. Peter stop looked back at Erik and said "Dude! the handball" with a big grin on his face.
Sterling sat on the bench eating his snack, along with Aaron a few feet away. Sitting across from them, were Sarah and Mina. Sarah is eating a big bag of cheese balls. In between smacking and licking her fingers, she is telling Sterling , Aaron and Mina how good they are. Her lips and fingers are crusted with cheese dust from her cheese balls. "Do you want some?" Sarah asked the three, and together they all said "NO!!!!"Why not?" asked Sarah. "Well!" Aaron said, "You have been eating out the bag first of all,
