You may not know what happened to the Twin Towers. I am not a survivor. I did not know they even existed till I heard this story, but it truly is an interesting one. 

The Twin Towers used to be beautiful towers that lit up the night sky in New York City. Sadly all that changed on September 11, 2001.

On September 11, 2001 it was a normal day in New York City. All that changed when a plane hit the North Tower at 8:46 am.

The plane that hit the South Tower hit at 8:50-8:54 A.M. At the time, no one knew who hit the Twin Towers, but now 21 years later we know it was the Taliban.

The damage to the Twin Towers was not minimal. Sadly, 2,996 people died on September 11, 2001.

Both twin towers collapsed. Now where the twin towers used to stand, there is a memorial.

Knowing 2,996 people died, 343 of those people where firefighters.

8 children died during the attack of the twin towers. The youngest person who died was 2 and a half years old.
