This cultural exchange activity will help students become familiar with Europe's cultural richness and increase mutual understanding between students with diverse ethnic backgrounds.

Folk Dance

Hora is a folk dance from Romania and the Republic of Moldova. It is a peasant dance that brings the whole congregation together in a large circle. The dancers hold hands, taking 3 steps diagonally in front, S-D-S, followed by beating with the right, then in the back, three steps D-S-D, beating with S, at the same time turning the circle, basically counterclockwise. The participants all sing the lyrics of the song being accompanied by instrumentalists.

The tambourine, accordion, violin, viola, double bass, saxophone, trumpet or even the panpipe are instruments that usually accompany a chorus.
The dance is danced at weddings or big popular holidays. The most famous choir is the Union Choir.

In order to better understand the culture of a country, we need to know well the laws of the country we belong to. In order to be able to achieve this, we have proposed a staging and to play some practical roles for our days.

From the gastronomy category, we can't help but stop at a specialty famous in our country. The little ones are a meat specialty.

Mititei or mici (both Romanian words meaning "little ones", "small ones") is a dish from the Romanian cuisine, consisting of grilled ground meat rolls in cylindrical shape made from a mixture of beef, lamb with spices, such as garlic, black pepper, thyme, coriander, anise, savory, and sometimes a touch of paprika. Sodium bicarbonate and broth or water are also added to the mixture. It is similar to ćevapi and other ground meat based dishes throughout the Balkans and Middle East.

The Romanian folk costume is one of the important testimonies of the culture of this people. Throughout history, the basic pieces have been maintained, and the progress has been noticed especially in the beautification of the outfit and less in the changes of the cut. In the following, you can find out a few things about the history of the Romanian folk costume, what are the elements of a traditional outfit, as well as what the folk costume looks like in different areas of the country.

Tipcat! A game that children in the 60's and 70's of the last century still remember quite well. For today's young people, this game called Țurca is rather an unreal memory, it is a memory related to the stories of our parents or grandparents.

Personally, I had the opportunity to play Turca only once, as a child and I think I was small enough to remember in detail the specifics of the game, but my father always

told with great enthusiasm

about his childhood experiences

about this game.

I am sure that many of our parents would talk about Țurca with a lot of emotions. So you can ask them too!
