“Okay guys! Open your textbooks to page 479. Read and answer the following questions.”

It was a Tuesday, and the day before Christmas Eve. Solana was thinking of inviting Daniel, Amelia, Tristen and Lucy to her Christmas party. She died her hair red just for the party, hoping for good luck.  Solana had so many ideas, such as a pizza par— “Okay guys! Open your textbooks to page 479. Read and answer the following questions.”, interrupted Mrs Herap.  Solana immediately opened her textbook and began the assignment. 

Solana had already printed out card invitations. When the bell rang, Solana took the cards out her bag, and gave them out. “Thanks”, Said Daniel and Lucy. “Omg, this is so cool!”, said Amelia. “Cool, thanks Sol.”, said Tristan. ‘Sol’, was the nickname that Tristan gave to Solana. Tristan and Solana were good friends, but Solana wanted to become closer friends. Every time Tristan says something to her, she’s feels anxious. 

At dismissal, Tristan and Solana walked home together. “Hey, Sol” started saying Tristan. “Uh...never mind.” Hm.  That was weird. Tristen seemed nervous. “Thanks, for walking me home! See you Thursday for the Christmas party. 9:30pm.” Said Solana.

When Solana got home, she went straight to her bedroom. She was so excited. She also decided to start decorating later. She could do that, because her mom went on to travel to Africa as part of her research for her job. Her mom knew what was happening, but she didn’t know Solana walked home with a boy. It was against the rules. However, Solana thought she was old enough to do it. Although she is going to decorate, she’ll do it later. Right now, she is going to take a nap.
