Dexter the dinosaur woke up early one morning, cheerful and as happy as could be. Christmas was only two days away, he was so excited. But Dexter had forgotten to decorate for Christmas this year and he didn't want Santa to miss his house, so he got ready for the day and got right to decorating.

The first thing Dexter did was decorate his room. First he put on his favorite headband. It had reindeer antlers and ears on it. He also hung up a picture of a candy cane, changed his bed sheets and decorated his dresser with two nutcrackers. Dexter is in the Christmas spirit.

Now it is time to move onto the living room. Dexter turned on the tv and played some Christmas music as he decorated. Once Dexter finished decorating the living room he noticed he was missing the most important thing... a CHRISTMAS TREE! Where would Santa leave the presents? Dexter knew what he had to do, so he went out looking for the perfect tree.

Dexter looked high and low, near and far, but couldn't find the perfect tree. Then suddenly... he spotted it. The perfect tree. It was wide, tall and smelled of pine needles. He knew it was the perfect one. He could picture it in his living room all light up next to the fire place. Dexter chopped down the massive tree and carried it home.

Dexter set the Christmas tree up in his living room and decorated it with yellow, red and pink ornaments. He even put a pretty pink star on top.
