 It was a sunny, quiet day in the woods. 

Catnus was walking around with her quiver 

filled with arrows and her bow. Catnus is very 

good at archery. 

As Catnus was walking along, she decided she 

wants to hunt some mice for dinner. 

Catnus has four arrows that she could shoot.

This means that Catnus had four arrows 

when zero mice had been shot. 

Catnus spotted mice. She was getting hungry. 

She knew that she could get one mouse with 

one arrow. 

Catnus spotted four mice. 

The slope for this story is -1/1. 

This means that there will be one less 

mouse with every arrow Catnus shoots. 

Catnus loaded her first arrow. She pulled it 

back and shot it. 

Now Catnus has three more arrows to shoot.

This represents that there were 4 mice 

alive before Catnus shot any arrows and 

the rate of change is -1.
