Mikey lived in an island called Greatland, where it was summer all year and
the only Fall was the fall of the sun at night. All of Mikey's family and
friends lived in this marvelous island.

In Greatland the white sandy beaches stretched around the Island. Everyone
from Greatland hung out at the beach. The beaches were covered with locals,
but there was always a few outsiders. No one ever thought this would change.

On Monday morning, before school, Mikey got the news that
Greatland would build a new airport for visitors.

At school, Mikey and his friends talked about the new airport. They
excitedly planned to watch the airplanes at night as they landed and
took off.

A year later, the airport was complete. Visitors from all over
the world came to spend some time in the beaches of Greatland.

The beach was a zoo. There were so many visitors that it was
impossible for Mikey and his friends to play. They decided to
come back the next day at sunrise.

At sunrise Mikey and his friends arrived at the beach. They were in shock
at how dirty the beach was. Mikey was sad. He knew he had to do something.

That night Mikey slept thinking about a solution for what used to be
Greatland's white sandy beaches.

The next day at school Mikey talked to his teacher about his idea. He asked
her if he could gather a group of students and teachers to clean up the beach.
Mikey's teacher though it was a great idea.
