Hello, I am the Old Man of the Winds. I am here to explain you what is causing the climate change.

In the last 50 years, the Earth's temperature has increased faster than ever before.

This effect is known as global warming. It is caused by the greenhouse emissions from human activity.

Greenhouse gases happen naturally in our planet. But human activities have increased the greenhouse gases.

But what is the greenhouse effect?
Greenhouse gases act like a blanket around earth, trapping the heat from the sun's rays
This process makes Earth much warmer than it would be without an atmosphere.
Thanks to the greenhouse effect the earth has the perfect temperature to live in.
However, if the greenhouse effect is too strong it starts to cause problems.

How does the greenhouse effect become stronger? How does this happen?

Burning fossil fuels is one of the main issues. We burn oil, natural gas, and coal to generate energy. This process produces a lot of contaminating gases like CO2.
We use this energy to generate electricity, and to power transportation or factories.

The way we produce our food can have a big impact on the environment. Agriculture is one of the biggest emitters of greenhouse gases.

Keeping and raising livestock and watering and maintaining crops releases greenhouse gases.
