This is a story about two girls named Ava and Monica. It is a book about underestimating someone's abilities.

Monica Miller was a perfect girl in every way. She had perfect grades and never had bad hair days. Many girls in the school were jealous of her, but her friend Ava, was not. Monica highly underestimated Ava. She felt as though Ava would never be like her by look, by mind and by heart. Unlike Monica, Ava had a big heart and always looked out for people and cared for them. Monica, of course, did not mind. She was so caught up in being perfect that she always was overconfident and never noticed little acts of kindness that were performed by Ava.

One day the teacher announced that there would be a math test in two days and that those who fail will miss out on the field trip to the zoo. Monica was sure she would pass and did not spend any time studying. Monica was not worried about Ava getting better grades than her because she thought that Ava would fail and miss out on the trip and she would cry and the other kids will call her a crybaby.
