I.E.S PADRE POVEDA (Guadix)
THE PEARL BRACELET
Once upon a time the most incredible and unknown battle of the history of Spain occurred.
There was a city in Spain where there was a female flamenco dancer who could seduce horses, so when she danced, she was able to control every movement they made. Once she discovered her gift, she started to make the horses get mad invading every corner of the country. Time after, millions of men fought against them until the only place dominated by them was the city of Toledo, in the middle of the country.

This city was known for being inhabited only by bulls. However, the bulls knew of the horses' will to invade their historical city and they decided that they didn't want to be wiped out by the horses. So, they agreed to fight against the horses in the well-known battle of Tobayo.
The horses were defeated by the strong bulls and the power of the dancer disappeared forever.

As the legend says, the dancer's bracelet got broken in the battle and its pearls spread around each corner of Toledo. It is said that the person who gathers the seven pearls in the bracelet again will be able to bring the horses back again to Spain and will become the new magic dancer.

Witches everywhere
Once upon a time there was a farmer’s wife who always cooked very greasy food and yet she never put butter in the pan, only milk. One day the farmhand saw her cooking. She made the fire and poured milk into a pan. But what was this? A big, fat toad came and the woman told it to hop into the pan and jump around. After some time she said “It is enough!” and the toad hopped away.
At dinner time the woman put the greasy noodles onto the table but the farmhand didn’t eat anything. The farmer said: “Why don’t you eat?”

And the farmhand answered: “Farmer, your wife is a witch. I won’t stay any longer! I quit!”
So the farmhand started to work at another farm, but the farmer’s wife was also a witch. One day the farmer peeked through the door: The woman took a broomstick, treated it with an ointment, sat on it and said: “Far away, against nowhere!” And then she flew away.
