This is Patrick Star and Spongebob 

Squarepants. They are both famous for 

there views and ideas about the 

economy. 

This is Spongebob Squarepants, he is 

an economist. He is well-known for his 

beliefs in Capitalism, which is where a 

country's trade is controlled by private 

owners instead of by the state.

This is Patrick Star. He is has strong beliefs in 

Socialism. Socialism means that production, 

distribution, and exchange should be regulated 

as a whole community.

Since Spongebob and Patrick have completely 

different views on the economy, where did 

they get these views? Spongebob developed 

some of his views from Henry Home, another 

philosopher. Patrick on the other hand 

developed his views 

Patrick wrote many books, " The Poverty of 

Philosophy" and the "Manifesto of the 

Communist Party" are just a few of his books 

where he talks about his beliefs and the 

Communist Party.

Spongebob also wrote many books which 

include, "'An Inquiry into the Nature and 

Causes of the Wealth of Nations" and   "The 

Theory of Moral Sentiments". Where is talks 

about his views and how he views the 

economy and Individualism.

Though they never agreed and also never 

became friends, they are famously known to 

this day for their views and beliefs of how to 

achieve a successful government.
