Croquetas de Jamon Serrano

Ingredients: 

• 100 grams of Serrano ham

•1 onion

• 50 grams of flour

•50 grams of butter

• olive oil 

• 500 milliliters of milk

• salt

• 2 eggs

•   breadcrumbs

PREPARATION

STEP 1:  Chop the serrano ham and the onion.

Step 2:  In a pan put the butter and a couple of tablespoons of olive oil, add the chopped onion and cook until golden and add the ham add the flour, stir and let it cook for a couple of minutes, add the milk and stir little by little, cook until there is a creamy dough for the croquettes.

STEP 3: When the dough is ready, let it cool.

STEP 4: In a bowl add the breadcrumbs and another with the beaten eggs.

STEP 5: With the cold dough, form the ham croquettes, later

 they are first passed through the egg and then through the breadcrumbs.

STEP 6: In a frying pan with oil, fry the croquettes until golden brown.

Put the croquettes on a plate and ready to eat.

Churros Españoles

Ingredients:

500 milliliters of water

500 grams of wheat flour

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon of baking powder

1 liter of olive oil

White sugar

PREPARATION

Step 1 Combine water, 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt, and baking powder in a saucepan. Heat until boiling.

Remove from heat and pour over flour in bowl. Stir well with a wooden spoon until you have a firm dough. 

Step 2 fill the pastry bag with the dough, and press with your hands to remove the air.

 Step 3 Heat the olive oil in a deep frying pan. Form churros between 15 and 20 centimeters long. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.

 Step 4 Remove the browned churros from the oil and drain them on paper towels. Place them on a plate and sprinkle them with white sugar.

step 5 Enjoy your churros accompanied by hot chocolate or coffee.
