Do you know how WW1 started?
It all started when 7 Bosnian Serbs tried to assassinate the heir to the throne of Austria Hungry. (Franz Ferdinan) First, they threw a bomb at his car, and it missed and blew up an officer's car, instead of hiding Franz went back out in his car to visit the injured officer. However, the driver was not aware of this and turned on the wrong road and came across one of the failed assassins. The assassin then pulled out a gun and shot the heir and his wife. The king was very mad and thought the Serbian government had something to do with it, so the king sent a lot of demands to Serbia and when they refused, Austria Hungry declared war on Serbia.
Immediately Germany joined on the side of Austria Hungry, Russia joined on Serbia's side and then France joined Serbia as well and then Montenegro helped Serbia. Next Germany came up with a plan known as the Schlieffen plan to quickly invade France then invade Russia and Serbia, but they had one problem France had a lot of forts at the border and Germany could not waste any time, so they went around these defensive positions through Belgium, and Britan did not like that Germany was invading neutral countries and Britan protected Belgium's independence since 1830 so Britan joined against Germany.
Next, they kept pushing through Belgium and pushed into France. After this Russia was ready for war, then Austria Hungry retreated out of Ukrainian and polish speaking parts of the empire. Then Germany had to send troops to help Austria Hungry and also had to send troops in Prussia to attack the Russians and they were doing well as they were in sight of Paris and in Serbia, they pushed back all of Austria Hungary's offensives. Then Germany got pushed back in France, but not completely then trenches were made from the coast all the way to Switzerland.
Next Australia took New Guinea and German colonies in Africa, next Japan joined on the side of Serbia. However, Italy had an alliance with the Germans and Austrians but then the Entente (the powers against Germany) promised Italy some land and then they switched sides, however Italy was in stale mate because the area had a lot of mountains. Next the ottomans were divided whether to join the war or not but some of them fired shells in Russia and then Russia declared war on the ottomans.

Then they tried to attack the Russians in the Cayucas (this consists of modern-day Georgia Armenia and Azerbaijan) but many froze to death and the plan failed next they tried to take the Suez Canal from the British but that also failed next the Entente tried to take Gallipoli but that yet also failed. Next the German sent spies into Afghanistan to convince the Arab tribes there to attack British India but that also failed because the Germans were drunk, and the Arabs got mad.
Next Germans gassed many in the trenches and bombed British cities. Next the central powers convinced Bulgaria to help them attack Serbia in exchange for land. The Bulgarians said yes so, they pushed the Serbs back and they retreated into Albania and Austria hungry was allies with Albania, so they started a "friendly invasion" to chase down the Serbs and Montenegro fell then Portugal joined against Austria hungry.

Next the only sea battle took place in Jutland, but it damaged a bunch of expensive dreadnoughts, so they didn't really want to have another naval battle. Then the battle of Verdun took place and France begged its allies to do something to distract the Germans, so the British attacked the Somme and was the first time a tank was used. Next the Russians pushed back far but then when they got the telegram from France, they began a huge offensive until they had no supplies, so they gave up. Then Romania saw how well the Russians had been doing and thought that they could help them and get land but then when they joined, they got pushed back.
Then Greece was divided because the prime minister and the king disagreed on what side to join next the king abdicated and the country reunited then they joined. The Entente and began a new offensive next. In the cayucas the Russians pushed the ottomans back then the British landed in Kuwait to protect Persia's oil fields these oil fields produced 2.5 million barrels a day and also pushed from the Suez Canal. Next the Russian empire started to collapse and then the Russian revolution had begun this pulled Russia out of the war.
