This goes to my assignment in Module Five about visual storybooks, which I hope to learn a lot of information about so I can use this website in the future.

Once upon a time, there was a handsome man, who had a daughter names Ella, and she was very beautiful. They lived in a quaint home, in a village not far from the royal kingdom.

After Ella's mother died, her father believed that she needed a mother to guide her, so he married a wealthy woman who had two daughters. These two were not pretty, and they were very unfriendly.

Weeks later, Ella's father fell ill, and he soon died. Ella was left with her stepmother and two stepsisters, who turned out to say evil things to her, and treat her horribly.

Ella was soon ordered to do the chores, cook every meal, and answer to her mother and sisters every beck and call. She soon gained the nickname, "Cinderella", because she became dirty from all her work and was not allowed time to change.
Ball for the Prince!

One afternoon, while running yet another errand for her stepmother, Cinderella found a declaration made by the royal family. There was to be a ball in the Prince's honor so he could find a wife! Every woman in the kingdom was invited. Cinderella's heart skipped a beat, and she ran home to tell her Stepmother.

When Cinderella arrived and told the news, she was told she wouldn't be allowed to go to the ball. When she replied that everyone was invited, her stepmother said well everyone except you.
They made an agreement that if she could finish her chores and find a dress to wear, she could go.

On the day of the ball, Cinderella worked harder than she ever had before to finish her chores, and her stepmother had given her plenty of them. She swept, mopped, baked, dusted, washed clothes and dishes, fed the animals, and more. And finally she finished. But she realized, she had no time to make a dress!

After climbing the many steps to her small bedroom, Cinderella couldn't believe her eyes when she opened her door. Her mouse friends made her a dress! She was so happy, quickly got dressed and rush to the door to leave for the ball.

When Cinderella arrived downstairs, her Stepmother and Stepsisters were in awe of her beauty, and became jealous. They immediately began ripping her dress to shreds, so that she was unable to go to the ball. This upset Cinderella, because she saw her perfect night disappear.

Cinderella was heartbroken. She really wanted to go to the ball, and meet the prince. As she cried, she heard a voice. It was her Fairy Godmother!
