Chapter 1 Fantastic Elements at an Antique Store?
“Sassy!” Kelly called.
“What?” I meowed, my eyes closed.
“I made bacon with scrambled eggs for you!” Instantly, my eyes opened and I ran over to my food bowl. Three crispy pieces of bacon lay on my plate with a portion of scrambled eggs. I started predicting. Every morning before I eat my breakfast I predict if my food is going to be good or bad. If my food turns out to be good, most likely that is a hint to my day being a good day, but if my food turns out to be bad, it is most likely a hint to today being a bad day. Yesterday I had dry cat food, ewwww! Without a doubt it was obvious that with a bad breakfast it was a bad day yesterday. But today, it was bacon with scrambled eggs! Yum! I love bacon.
I predict today, Friday April 13th to be a fantastic day!
After my prediction, it was time to see if I am correct about how the food will taste, so I first tried a piece of bacon… delicious! And then tried some scrambled eggs. Somehow the scrambled eggs were too salty and hard. Did that mean that I was going to have a good and bad day instead? I thought about it for a moment and decided to not bring that thought in my head and instead of that, listen to what Kelly had to say to me and my petmate Mango.
“K guys. Today is a busy day for me.”
“How come?” I asked.
“After breakfast I am going to the mall with my friends to shop around. So, as expected I want to come home later with no mess from you two.”
“Ok!” me and Mango said. After Kelly gathered some breakfast for herself on a plate she turned on the TV for us to watch. The news titled: “DRAMA AT ANTIQUE STORE”. Curious about what kind of drama could have happened at an antique store, I turned myself around to the TV. I ate my breakfast while watching the screen.
“This early morning, Friday April 13th,” the man on the screen began saying, “Ms. Chelsea Johnson informed that she bought a necklace from Lacy’s Antique Store on Fifth Avenue that began choking her. You can see here on the screen,” an image popped out of what looked like red marks on someone's neck, “that surely something has happened to Ms. Johnson here. But we have no scientific evidence that what is said is real. But Folks, still watch out in Lacy’s Antique store today. It is Friday the 13th after all!”
After that, the man started talking about the weather so Kelly turned the TV off. I started wondering what the man on the screen meant about today, Friday the 13th.
“Woah.” Mango squawked.
I nodded to what Mango described as a shocking moment.
“Do you think that what the man said is real?” Mango asked me. I paused for a moment to reflect on what the man said one more time.
“Maybe.” I decided. Mango shuddered.

Chapter 2 The Cafe Donut
When Kelly left, me and Mango went by the usual, getting to my best friend Oliver’s balcony. Mango slowly unlocked the lock that does not lock on his cage and swung the cage door open. Then he flew over to me and sat himself on my back.
“Let’s go.” he tweeted. I went through my cat door that I call the teleportation door to our fire escape balcony. Then, I got in position on the handle bars on the fire escape. 3, 2, 1, I jumped on the first brick sticking out from the side of the building, then the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth. I tried not to pay attention to how high we were up the building, which was seven stories high. When I got on the sixth brick I got in position and leaped off of it, concentrating hard to land in the right place. Without concentration you would most likely fall down, down, down, off of the seven story high building. Finally, with a loud “Bang” I landed on Oliver’s balcony. Afterwards I walked up to Oliver’s teleportation door and scratched his door politely so he would come out.
