One day, just like any other normal day, Drew went to school.  He was excited, as he always was.  Drew loved school.  It was one of his favorite places to be.  In fact, he always wanted to be at school.

Drew was very happy when he got to school.  That is, until the bell rang and he went to class.  

Someone new was in the classroom.  Someone Drew had never met before.  Drew felt scared and mad.  Where was his teacher?  Who was this person that was smiling at him?  Why was she asking him to sit down?  This was not right.  Drew did not know what to do.

The principal came in.  He said this was the new teacher, Miss Love.  She was very nice and would be there from now to teach the class.  Drew did not like this at all.  He did not know Miss Love.  She did not know him.  This was just not right.  

Drew spent recess by himself.  He felt like crying.  He could not understand why none of his friends were as upset as he was.  Why couldn't they see how wrong everything was now?  He just wanted things to go back to normal.

After recess, Miss Love wanted to talk to Drew alone.  She asked him what was wrong, but he did not answer.  Drew did not want Miss Love to know how he felt.  She might be mean to him if she knew.

Drew decided to move away from Miss Love so she would leave him alone.  That did not work.  Miss Love just kept smiling and trying to talk to him.  Drew began to feel like he might want to talk to her, but he just could not.  He wanted his old teacher back.

At lunch, Drew went to sit under his favorite tree like he always did.  He enjoyed watching everyone else run around while he ate.  Miss Love sat down beside him with her lunch.  They both ate in silence.
