CHAPTER ONE
for the beginning
It was a cloudy morning. Jane was heading to class. She was just an unpopular girl with bad grades that was going through her teenage dirtbag phase. - Hi! - said tobias as he took out his books from his locker. Jane didn't answer and entered the class.
Jane and Tobias used to be best friends and did everything together. But ever since Jane turned twelve she just stopped talking to him for some reason.
It's been almost three years since they last had a proper conversation together.
- Goodmorning class. - said Mrs. Chain, the Biology teacher. - I just finished correcting your tests and I must say most of you didn't do well. Apart from Sam, perfect as always.
The teacher handed out the tests. Jane got a D- . Her grades were never that good, and her parents are already used to it. Her parents were very understanding people that cared about their daughter.

Tobias got a B-. He always got straight A's, but his parents... weren't that supportive. Whenever he got below an A they'd scold him. He seemed a bit sad about the grade, but was taught to control his emotions. Unlike Jane, who was a mess. Lucky for her, she did not care about her grades. - Oh, well. - He said. - It's just a test.
After school Jane was waiting for the bus.
While the other students were waiting in front of the school, she was around the corner at the back.
Their school was located RIGHT NEXT to a huge forest. It was literally connected to it. Tobias was also waiting for the bus with all his popular friends.
Jane decided to play with her squishy. She always had it with her, but when she took it out of her backpack it fell and rolled away to the forest. She knew it wasn't a good idea to go get it, she lived in a place with tons of huge, dangerous and undiscovered forests. But it was only a few meters away. What's the worst that could happen?
She looked around herself and ran to the woods.
She moved away the bushes and branches in her way and saw her toy. It was surounded by trees ( obviously ), she ran up to get it, but when she set foot on the ground a huge hole just apeared under her making her fall in.
She screamed, but only Tobias heard and ran up to her. - JANE!!! - he yelled jumping in, while the other kids went on the bus.
After a long fall Jane landed on some soft, bouncy and pink ground.
- ... what????? - she said as she got up
A few moments later Tobias landed too.
- What are you doing here?!! - asked Jane.
Tobias didn't really know what to say. He just wanted to make sure Jane was okay.
And his instinct was somehow to just jump in.
- I fell in. - he said. They both looked up. Above them there was the hole they fell from. In the sky. Like a frickin portal in movies. - Ok so we need to get there. - said Jane. And at that very moment the whole ( or portal ? ) closed.
- Is this, like. Another world? A diferent realm? - said Tobias.
He tried to stay calm, or at least seem like it
( which he was very good at ), but he was literally about to explode. Is this a dream? Will we die? Will I ever get out? But Jane knew him too well to not know how he really feels.
Although she was very nervous too.
What's going on??? Is this real? Will I get out?
She tried to seem cool and all.
But Tobias knew her too well to not know how she really feels.
Suddenly they heard a voice.
HEEEEY. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY! - Said the voice.
They both looked in the direction where it was coming from.
A thing, that most likely was a unicorn, but kinda just looked like a donkey with a horn was running up to them on it's short legs.

It ran up to them panting and said:
Hello, friends! You two are new here, aren't you?
Never saw you around.
My name is * pant pant *
bloopie. Welcome to CandyLand! Are you from the human realm?
- Uhh, yeah... probobaly. - said Tobias.
- My, my its been centeries since a human has been here. He was the first human too. . . . but we don't talk about him...- said bloopie.
CHAPTER TWO
BLOOPIE'S HOUSE
Let me give you a tour. - said Bloopie cheerfully - follow me.
- You mean that this is another world? A different universe???? - Asked Jane. - Where are we going?
- Yes, none of us has ever been in the human world, but some lucky people have found a portal leading to here. You! And we're going to my house. Oooh we're gonna have so much fun together! You see we don't get visitors that often. - Answered the unicorn.
They arrived at Bloopie's home.
- Welcome to my house! - They said.
- Well, this place seems very nice and cozy! - Said Tobias.
- Why, Thank you! :D - said Bloopie.
Tobias had a ray of energy that made him very likable.

The house was very, very small.
The bed was just a bunch of pillows, teddies and blankets in a corner. There was a lot of manga and yeetos ( crisps ) everywhere, not to mention the Karuto poster they had on their wall.
Bloopie trotted over to something that looked like a toy box and took out a map.
It was a map of the town.
It included all the stores, the local library, a cafe and even some houses.

- Here in CandyLand we have a good side and a...
not.. so good side. - Said Bloopie. - It's best if you stay on the good side. Humans aren't tolerated there...As you can see, this is my house. We're over here. This place is actually A LOT bigger than on the map, this is just a fraction of our huge country....
There's the park, the playground, the store, my mom's house..... - They continued.
Anyway, here you go. - Said Bloopie giving the map to Jane. And you better stay away from the bad side.... Jane and Tobias went out of the house and took a look around.
- Wow, this place is great! - said Tobias. - We should stay.
- WHAT?! We have to get back, this whole bad side is suspicious as heck and our parents are worried for sure! - Said Jane. -Lets go see if anyone can tell us where is the exit. We don't belong in this pink paradise or whatever.
- Don't you wanna look around at least? That park looks interesting. said Tobias.
- Okay then, you go have fun while I try to find a way out. - Jane snapped back.
* silence *
- Okay... - said her classmate.
And off he went to swing on a swing.
Jane went to Bloopie's neighbor.
The neighbor opened the door. It was a beautiful fairy. But before Jane could say anything the fairy yelled:
OH MY GOD IT'S A HUMAN! A HUMAN HAS ARRIVED!
A bunch of little fairies went down the stairs and started screaming from joy.
- Come in, come in. - said Some eldery fairy that came out of nowhere.
Jane sat down on a chair and the eldery
fairy asked:
So, what's it like in the human world??? - she said with her eyes widened.
- Well, uh- But Jane couldn't finish the sentance. Another fairy apeared.
- Don't mind her. She's obsessed with humans. - said a middle - aged fairy. - How long are you going to stay? Forever??? You're not planning to meet the queen are you? You better not.
- You have a queen? - asked Jane.
But the fairy couldnt answer because he didn't hear her over the yelling of his children.
- CALM DOWN KIDS. - He yelled.
At that moment an angry, old, wrinkly fairy slammed open the door and shouted:
- WHATS WITH ALL THE NOISE?!
- Oh no, you better go. - said the middle aged fairy gently pushing Jane out the door.
- Calm down, grandpa. - said the beautiful fairy.
Jane was outside of the house now and the door was locked.
- What WAS that??? - she said. Fairies didn't look like she thought they would, they were the size of a human.
But then she had a thought.
What if I call someone from the human world?
Would that work? Probobaly not.. but it's worth a try.
So the girl searched her backpack, but couldn't find her phone.
Only a sketchbook and some snacks.
She looked over to Tobias.
He was sitting by the pond.
- Hey. - She said walking over to him. - Do you have your phone with you?
- N-no? - Said Tobias.
- Crap
Jane sat beside him.
- Any luck with the neighbor? - asked her friend (?)
- Nope.
Bloopie got out of their house and said: C'mon I have
your beds ready! It's getting late! :D
- Coming! - Said Tobias with a smile.
And off they went.
CHAPTER THREE
first DAY iN candyland
The two woke up before Bloopie.
- What time is it? - asked Tobias
- I don't even know anymore. - Jane replied. It's still a bit dark. Around five I geuss.
They went outside. The air was fresh and it was beautiful. The clouds were pink and the sun was only just rising. - Ok, let's state the facts. - said Jane. - We're in another world and we need to get out. There's a good side and a bad side.
- Are you sure that this place even has a way out? We have to find another portal or something, if we want to return to the human realm. And acording to Bloopie, no one from this place has ever been in are world, wich most likely means it's never been discovered. How did you find the portal that lead us here? - Said Tobias.
- .... Um... I just sorta fell into a whole that just magically appeared when I stepped on a piece of ground.
- Y o u w h a t.
* silence *
- Anyway about the portal. - continued Jane. - I think it's on the bad side.
- How so? - asked her f r i e n d.
- Well characters always have to go through bad things in movies before they reach their goal.
- Fair enough.
Jane took out her map.
- The sides are seperated by this river. We have to go on the bad side.
- Do you really think its a good idea to head over there..?
I mean, it doesnt look too good. - said Tobias
- Well a******, it's the bad side we're talking about.
.......
- Well yeah, but I mean look. The cursed mountains?
The horror forest? THE HOLE OF DEATH?!
- Maybe that's where the portal is! - said Jane.
Wow. She really wanted to get out of this place.
I geuss Tobias was a bit scared though.
Bloopie went out of their house.
- Hello? Friends? Are you there?
- We're at the back! - answered Tobias.
Bloopie trotted over to them and asked if they want any snacks.
Tobias wanted to be polite and simply said:
No thank you, we're fine.
However Jane told bloopie to get her whatever they want.
- Ok, then! - said Bloopie.
As he turned away to get the food, Jane stopped him.
- Wait! - she said. I have a question. Its about the whole of death.
- yeAh? - Answered Bloopie nervously.
- What is it. Just tell me what is it. Is it just a huge whole?
Has anyone ever been in there???
- ....Well..... it's a huge whole that only a few people have been to. None of them came back alive and were never seen again... you know what I should've not said that.
That's all you need to know, bye! - and off they went
- Okay, that's wierd. - said Tobias. - Lets go to the local library, maybe they'll have something there.
- So you finally decided to help me get us out? Come on let's go.
About half an hour later they arrived at the library.
The librarian was an old hybrid reading " Sweet Times ", the local newspaper.
Jane went up to her and asked for any books about the bad side of CandyLand.
But the lady didn't tell her. " You kids can't mind your own buisness! Listen to the rules and stay on the good side! "
- she said. Then Jane had to listen to her talk for three minutes straight about boring political stuff the girl didn't want to hear about.
At least she recieved some information about the queen.
The librarian said something about her being the smartest queen there ever was and that she's been ruling the land for many many many many years now.
- No luck. - Jane whispered to Tobias. - We're gonna need your outstanding social skills to get her into showing us the books.
- Did you just complement me? - asked Tobias.
- Well for some reason everyone finds you very likable, so
get out there!
- Okay, fine.
Tobias used his
incredible skills at convincing anyone to anything making the librarian see life in a brand new way.
She showed them the urban legends and history isle.
- I think I found something!. - said Jane.

CHAPTER FOUR
THE VICTIMS
- ... " The Whole Of Death "... It has 150 pages. I'll go check the table of contents, you go see if there's anything else. - Whispered Jane.
She sat at the table and opened the book.
- Woah, there's everything in here. - she said to herself quietly.
- Jane, I found something. It's titled " The incomplete history of CandyLand ", but it's blank. - said Tobias.
- Well, that's weird. There's no information on who wrote it too. What kind of book is this? - answered Jane.
- There's more, look. " The story of Queen Fauna and her sister ". It's empty.
- What about the whole of death? Does it say anything? - asked Tobias.
- Well, there's a chapter with... victims?
The two looked at eachother.
Then at the book.
They sat there in silence until Tobias started reading.
- The whole of death is the most mysterious and undiscovered place in all of CandyLand. Ten year old Mark ManyPlace was just an innocent little centuar when....
You know what I'm not reading the rest. - said Tobias.
- This is more dramatic than AngelSeats. - said Jane.
- What's that?
- An anime I started watching before we fell into this...
I'm not even gonna say it.
- Its not so bad. - said Tobias. - I like this place.
Jane looked at him.
- But you're right, we have to find a way back. Maybe we should take this. - He continued.
They took the book and went back to the village, but got a bit lost on the way since they still don't really know this place and the map wasn't very clear.
When they finally got to their temporary house, Bloopie greeted them with some cookies.
- Where were you?! I was worried! - They said.
- We're very sorry... we were at the library.. - said Tobias.
- So you finally decided to go sight seeing! - Said Bloopie cheerfully.
- Yeah.. kinda? - Replied Tobias.
Jane sat on the top right corner pile of pillows and ate a cookie then just simply fell asleep. The unicorn's house had a cushion pile on every corner of the room ( they live in a one room house ) smushed up with a bunch of teddies and blankets.
Bloopie and Tobias looked at her.
- Do you want to watch a show with me? - Asked Bloopie looking at Tobias.
- Sure! What's it called?
- Koruto. I just started watching it.
They watched it for four hours straight. They were very entertained and started yelling at every fight. Then fell asleep with squishmallows.
Jane woke up at 3 am and looked at the two.
Then at the book.
She just sat there and looked at it for a while then opened it on the chapter they were reading.
- Wow.. - she said to herself in a tired voice. She hasn't talked with Tobias for ages and now they're trapped in

another world together with a unicorn and their tiny house filled with plushies and manga.
Maybe it's all just a dream? I mean, what are the chances of falling into a portal that leads to a hidden place full of fairies, centaurs, hybrids and unicrons?
After reading about the victims of the whole of death, Jane couldn't sleep anymore. Most of the people were just messing around when they accidently fell in the whole and were never seen again. That was back when the bad side wasn't banned. Back when queen Flora ruled.
One sufferer drew a lot of atention to Jane. His name was Victor. He's one of the many mysteries of this whole place.
All the clues said that he jumped in on purpose, and even
left a note in a unknown language. Only the queen knew how to read it, but she never told anyone what it ment. After Victor's disapearence, she wasn't the same person anymore. Queen Flora was always a very kind hearted person that cared about her country. She was still very sweet, but seemed so sad all the time after the accident with Victor. Nobody new why, not even her husband. When she was found dead in her room, stabbed in the back. Her daughter became the new Queen and married some prince, wich she later killed, as said in the book. Victor's species wasn't mentioned at all, unlike the other victims. That got Jade thinking too. And why is the bad side banned if that's where the palace is?
She needed to clear her mind, so she went outside.
It was still night time. She could see all the hills, mountains, gardens and forests. It was beautiful.
But it was very dark.
- Well, now I know some of the history of this place. - said Jane. - All the other books were blank, but I got a lot of information from this one.
She looked around herself. She knew she was on the good side, and that nothing bad can happen to her there.
But Bloopie's house was very close to the river seperating the two sides. It was quite uncanny. The bad side was only a few meters away. She looked at the forest of horror.
It was huge and dark..... when she saw something moving in the bushes. It was all white and blurry, with big ears.
Jane was so scared she ran into the house, locked the door and jumped into bed.
Beleive me, she did NOT get anymore sleep.
CHAPTER FIVE
THE PLAYGROUND
Jane went up to Tobias at 9 am and woke him up.
- Wake up, *******, I read two chapters from that dumb book we got and I need to tell you all about it.
- what, whats goin on? - he said getting up slowly. - Oh god, my head. Ugh, I should've NOT watched so much anime last night.
- Look what I found. - Said Jane showing him the page with Victor.
- Who's that?
- That's Victor, he's one of the death whole victims, but he stands out the most.
- Why so?
- He left a note in some unknown language. And there's not much inforamtion about him. Like his species, second name or age. Unlike the other ones. There's also no
information about his family or anything. However there's a lot of information about the queen.
- Really? Show me.
- Three centuries ago, this land was ruled by Queen Flora and her husband. That was hen there was no bad or good side When she was found dead in her room, her daughter became the new queen. She later married
some guy that she killed.
And I'm pretty sure she's the
current queen too.

- I... have no words. - said Tobias. - How do we know if this is true?
- Well, it's a published book.
They stood there in silence for a couple of seconds.
Tobias really wanted to say something, but he didn't know how.
-... Why did you stop talking to me all of the sudden? We used to be such great friends. - He asked.
-..... I-I don't know, I geuss you just became so popular all of the sudden, and you had so much friends, while you were my only one. I just felt left out... and a bit jealous.
- Oh... Im sorry. I really want us to be friends.
- I geuss you're okay. You always were such a whizzkid. I'm still thinking about it. - said Jane.
- I'm not sure how to answer that, but thanks?
At that moment Bloopie woke up.
- Oh, hi guys! You're already up? What time is i -
OH NO IT'S LATE.
- Good morning Bloopie. - said Tobias.
- I'm sorry if I kept you waiting, you're free to go sight seeing, if you like. Nothing bad can happen on this side.
- Bloopie, do you know why the bad side is banned? And when exactly was it banned??? - asked Jane.
. . .
- You two are very interested in the bad side, huh?
Well, I geuss I can tell you some stuff, but not too much. A long time ago, there was no bad or good side. There was just CandyLand. The bad side was created and banned when King Fauna became the queen. About two centuries ago. She's a very bad and evil king. She'll .... erase... anyone who tries to step foot in her kingdom. She doesn't care much about her people anyway, so we decided to try and build this village on our own, without her help.
A lot of creatures that went on the bad side never came back. They all got lost in the forest of horror or s*ffocated in the nowhere place... so you better not go there. No one has been there in a very long time, so we don't know what other danger awaits. People used to live there, but all they had to do was to avoid the bad places. Only the king and her royal gaurds can be there. They're the only ones there. Even if she DOES rule our side too, she's not interested in it.
- You know what, let's go sight seeing! - said Tobias trying to change the topic.
- Yeah, let's go.
The two were walking around the town looking at the small shops surrounding them.
- I think the exit is on the bad side. Yup, for sure. - said Jane.
- Jane, can we please talk about something else?
- Well we have to get out.
* sigh *
- I mean, since the exit was never found, and the whole good side was already discovered, it has to be on the bad side. No one knows anything about it. - she continued.
- How about we buy some food, we've been eating cup noodles for the past 3 days. - said Tobias.
- Okay, let's go to that market over there.
They bought some food and decided to go to the park.
- This park is really nice. It's better then human parks. - said Tobias.
- I'm gonna go climb on the monkey bars. - said Jane.
- The what?
- ... Right. You've never been at a playground, haven't you?
Only on swings. Your parents never let you.
They looked at eachother for a while.
- I kinda wanna go, but I'm scared. - Said Tobias.
- Scared of what?
- I'm not sure. Jane grabbed her f r i e n d ' s arm and dragged him onto the slide.
- wh-what do I do with this?
- Just sit on it and slide.
Tobias looked at Jane, then at the slide.
- Well, here goes nothing
He slid down screaming.

Then landed on the sand at the bottom.
He was still processing what just happend, and kinda looked like he saw a ghost, since he has never been on any atractions. Even small ones, like slides.
- Holy crap that was amazing. - he finally said. - I WANNA GO AGAIN.
- lol ok. - said Jane.
They went on many many more stuff, including the see saw. They even met some little fairy and played with her, until her mom called her for dinner.
- That was nice. - said Tobias.
- Yeah. - Said Jane. - But maybe we should research tomorrow.
- I'm afraid I have to agree with you. Even if this place is way better than our world, we have to get back.
- I actually think our world is better. - said Jane.
The two went back home and told Bloopie how was Tobias's first time at a playground, then they all finishes Boruto and went to bed.
- Goodnight, everyone. - Said Bloopie.
- Goodnight. - Said Tobias.
CHAPTER SIX
are you sure...?
Jane ( once again ) woke up at night. She went outside and looked at the forest of horror. She remembered the creature she saw moving last night. Suddenly, she felt the urge to just go there and discovere all the mysteries there are. God knows what there is to see over there, no one's been there in hundreds of years. All we know is that there's a King, sitting in her trone, not giving a crap about anything around her and just being happy with her wealth.
Jane went back to bed.
Even if she had a great time here and got a bit closer to her friend, all she could think about is home. She hasn't had a proper bath in some days too and she just really really really wanted to see her parents.
She woke up at 3 am, did some stuf and ran over to Tobias, who was sleeping on the other side of the room with Bloopie.
- Wake up! - she whispered. - We're going home.
- What??? Jane it's four am.
- I already packed our bags, come on.
- I don't wanna.
She dragged Tobias out of the house.
- Should'nt we at least leave a note? - He said.
- I already did, it's on the table.
- But I'm not ready to go.
- You have to, we can't get too attached to this place.
- We don't even know if there IS an exit. - Tobias protested.
- There HAS to be. - said Jane.
. . .
- .... Do you have everything? - asked her friend.
- I have food, the map, a first aid kit, water, clothes and a notebook. - said Jane.
- Why do you have a notebook?
- It can come in handy, believe me. I take it wherever I go. - said Jane. - And if you're worried about lack of food, we can steal some.
- What?! Heck no!
- Suit yourself.
They went over to the river.
- You sure about this? - asked Tobias.
- We have to get out.
- I'm gonna miss Bloopie.
- Think about how we're gonna get on the other side. - said Jane.
- I don't think we can.
- Welp, we're gonna have to swim over. - said Jane.
Tobias chuckled.
Jane put her feet in the water and went in deeper.
- Oh, you're serious. - He said.
She turned over to her friend and said:
You coming?
* silence *
- Jane.... I can't swim....
- What!? You cant swim!?
- Nobody ever taught me!
Jane just stood there and looked at him for a moment. - Okay then, I'll carry you. - she said.
- You're kidding, right? - said Tobias.
-nope.
- Wha - You already have the backpack, I'm too heavy!
- No you're not, you weigh less than me and barely eat anything. Plus, I'm stronger than you think.
She went up to her friend, grabbed him and casually went into the water.
( it obviously wasn't THAT easy, especially when the water got deeper)
- Are you sure I'm not too heavy? - said Tobias.
- No.
- This is a bit awkward.....

When they got on the other side, they were very very wet.
- Wow, uh, thanks? - said Tobias.
- Well I couldn't just leave you. - answered Jane.
- God, it's so cold now. We're wet and it's night. - said Tobias.
- It'll get warmer in a couple of hours. - said Jane.
They just stood there looking at the woods and mountains ahead of them.
- You know, since we're already wet, we can just go back. - said Tobias.
- No, we have to go. - said Jane.
- But this is all so sudden! - Replied Tobias.
- We need to find are way back, we can't stay here forever.
At that moment they saw something moving in the bushes. It seemed to be the same thing Jane saw not so long ago.
-.... what... was that? - said Tobias standing a bit closer to his friend.
CHAPTER SEVEN
the forest of horror
- It's that thing again. - said Jane.
- What thing?
- I saw it last night when I was looking at the river.
The thing stuck his head out of the bushes and looked at the two for a couple of seconds, narrowed his eyes then ran away in a hurry on his four legs, hissing.

- I'm going back. - said Tobias.
- You'll drown.
Tobias whimpered.
- It's more scared of us than we are of it. - said Jane. - Let's go.
- In the forest?
- Well yeah. - Answered Jane walking in to the woods.
- Wait for me! - said Tobias running after her.
They were walking further and further away
from the entrance, both feeling extremely uncomfortable.
And there they saw the thing AGAIN.
But before they could even take a proper look at it, it ran away.
Jane ran after it. So did Tobias.
- We have to catch it! - shouted Jane.
- But we dont know what it is! - yelled Tobias.
-I DONT CAAAARE.
The thing finally stopped running, looked at the two, then went into some big, old and abandoned forest cabin.
Jane stopped and stared at the cabin.
- It's huge. - she said.
Tobias needed sometime to catch his breath, and out of exhaustion sat on the ground breathing heavly.
He looked up.
- Wow, it really is. - he said.
- Let's go in. - said his friend.
They slowly went in looking around.
That's when they finally got a proper look on the thing.
It wasn't THAT exotic.
It looked something like a cat - bat, but more... gremlinly.
They heard some footsteps, but they didn't know where they were coming from.
Suddenly, a woman jumped off the stairs and
pointed her spear at them.
- INTRUDERS! - She yelled.
-HOLY CRAP. - Said Jane, putting her hands up because she had no idea what to do.
The woman narrowed her eyes.
- You're ...... humans? - she asked as her eyes widened.
- ....Uh, ...n-no....? - Answered Tobias. - We don't wish to do you any harm!
He wanted to say yes, but since humans haven't been in CandyLand in years and due to the fact that him and his
f r i e n d were on the bad side, it's best not to tell anyone.
The woman put her spear down.
- Welcome to the bad side, my name is Alessia. - she said. - You must be very curious of what's in here, no human has been here in centuries. Believe me, I know. I'm 528 years old.
- Wow, you're old. - said Jane.
Tobias whispered to her. - Don't be rude, Jane! - He said.
-... So uh. What ...exactly are you? Do you live here? - asked Jane.
- That doesn't matter, human. - Answered Alessia. - How long have you been in CandyLand? You should know that the bad side is no place to be. You wont last a second here.
- We need to find our way home, a.k.a., the exit. - said Jane
- Are you aware that no one has ever actually found it?
- Yes, we are. But we really need to get home. - Said Tobias.
- And you know that no one from the good side has ever even survived the forest of horror?
- Well, what exactly IS the forest of horror? - asked Jane.
- You're in it right now. Not only is it the biggest forest to ever exist, the trees change places every night. It's also full of unknown species and deadly plants.
- Okay, I'm scared now. - Said Tobias.
- We'll find a way out, I promise you. - Said Jane.

CHAPTER EIGHT
I'LL PROTECT YOU!
- It was nice meeting you, Alessia, but we have to go. - said Tobias.
They went out and had no idea where to go, so they just went ahead of them.
- We have to find a way out of this forest, it's dangerous. - said Jane.
- I think the exit is here.
- Why?
- Well, Alessia said that there are a lot of unknown species here, wich means that this place is very undiscovered, plus, it's really big. And need I say that the trees move places every night making it impossible to get out or do pretty much anything? Not to mention that no one ever got out of this place. And that leaves us three options.
They're either dead, lost or found the portal. Aaand, the portal that we fell in was in a forest too, so there.
- said Tobias.
- ....... You really thought this out, haven't you? - Said Jane.
- Trust me, I did.
They were already 100 meters ( 328 ft ) away when they heard Alessia shouting from her cabin.
- DON'T GO! I'LL COME WITH YOU! - She yelled.
The two turned around. - WHAAAAAAAT!? - Jane yelled back.
- COOOME BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK. - Alessia yelled even louder.
Tobias and Jane looked at eachother and shrugged, then ran up to her.
- What were you shouting about? - asked Jane.
- I'll come with you. - Said Alessia. - I have to protect you. This forest isn't safe. I understand that you need to find your way home, but it's not that easy. I've been trying for the past 503 years....
- ... You mean.. you're lost...? You've been in this forest for 5 centuries? - Asked Tobias.
- Yes. I too am human. I fell into a portal when I was 25, but I didn't land in the good side, instead I landed in the King's palace. I was immedietly sentenced to death, they brought me into this forest and left me alone to die.
Luckily, I found this amulet that makes me immortal, I haven't aged at all ever since, wich is why I'm not dead yet.
- Wow... - Tobias had no words. But he was terrified.
- And how do we know you're telling the truth, huh? - asked Jane.
Alessia sighed.
- You just have to trust me. - she said.
- Yeah, we trust you. - said Jane.
- Okay then, you can sleep in my cabin, we'll leave first thing in the morning. - Replied Alessia
The house had a big room, where Jane and Tobias are sleeping.
- I don't trust her AT ALL. - Said Jane, making her bed.
- Well, I trust her. - said Tobias. - And aren't you scared she'll hear you?
- Nope. And you trust people too easily. We don't know her! I'm actually suprised you're so trusting and loved by everyone considering what you're going through.
- What's... that supposed to mean? - asked Tobias.
...
- Well.. your parents.. aren't.. what's the word.. supportive...?
They stood there in silence for a moment.
They both knew it was true, Tobias's parents weren't good parents. They were never interested in what he's going through or what he thinks, instead they made him study everyday since preschool with almost no breaks at all only to yell at him in a very insolent way whenever he got below and B. Tobias knew that wasn't exactly okay, but didn't want to admit it. He learned how to just live with it.
- Goodnight. - said Jane covering herself up with a blanket.
-.. Goodnight. - said Tobias turning off the light.

CHAPTER ONE
for the beginning
