Remember me?!! Now can you find the soccer ball? Bet cha can't!

Merry Christmas Sean and Chase! Here's another adventure to share with you about our wild and crazy little buddies, Acorn and Nut! I love you both forever and ever, you are my best buddies!

One warm, sunny day Acorn and Nut were bouncing through their beloved woods when Acorn felt a drop fall from the sky and land on his nose. Then more and more drops fell.  "Nut, feel the rain! " exclaimed Acorn. 

" Wow, it is raining so hard, " said Nut, "let's seek shelter under this oak tree. "

But the rain didn't stop so Acorn and Nut decided to run home to their Mommy and Daddy to get dry and cozy.

But when they woke up the next morning it was still raining, and the next day and the next and the next.......

Acorn, this rain has been going on for days, it doesn't seem right, maybe we should go to the woods and ask our woodland friends if they know why it is raining so much.

" Good idea let's go!" said Nut.

So off they went down the path to their beloved Enchanted Forest where they found all their friends. 

" Woodland friends, do you know why it is raining so much? We have never seen such rain! " asked Acorn. 

All the woodland animals agreed it had been raining more than they had ever seen in their lives.

Bear stopped and looked closer at what they had thought was rain, then exclaimed, "no my friends, this is not rain, it is tears, tears following from the sky!"

All the animals looked closer at the drops falling and also saw that they were tears.

" What could this mean? " asked porcupine.

" We aren't sure but will find out ", said Acorn. And with that he and Nut left the Enchanted Forest in search of answers. 

Then Bear looked closer at what they thought was rain, "It is not rain, it is tears, tears falling from the sky." he exclaimed. 

"Oh no, what should we do?" said racoon.

" We will go and find out." exclaimed Acorn and Nut. And off they went down the path. 

Then Bear looked closer at what they thought was a raindrop, "hey, these are not raindrops, they are tears, tears falling from the sky!"

" Oh, what are we to do? " Exclaimed racoon. "What does this mean?"

" We don't know but we will find out" said Acorn and Nut in unison.

And off they went....

Acorn and Nut traveled to the seven continents to ask their friends all over the world if they were also experiencing this strange phenomenon and if so, did they know what it meant.

In their travels around the globe Acorn and Nut learned that tears had been falling constantly for days in every country.  They call a meeting with a representative from each continent to discuss what was going on. 

"Does anyone know what is happening to our beautiful planet?" asked Nut.  " Why is it raining tears?" 

" I heard from a little bird that Mother Earth is very sick, and she needs our help."  said Giraffe. "The oceans are full of garbage, the rivers plugged with debris, the trees in the forests cut down, the air full of pollution. She cannot survive much longer with these conditions. She needs help fast. "

" Oh dear this is terrible!"" cried Monkey. 

" Don't fret my friends, what we need to do is to send a message to the whole world that we need help to cure Mother Earth," said Bear.

" But how can we reach all those people at the same time?" asked Kangaroo.

" I have it!" exclaimed Panda. " In two days, it is the Opening Ceremony of The World Cup.  Billions of people across the world join together, either in person or Tv or radio, to watch this amazing event. We can use this platform to tell all the people about how sick Mother Earth is and that we need everyone's help to get her healthy again. "

" Who can we get to share this message with the world? " Asked Polar Bear.

" Well, Reynaldo and Messi of course! "exclaimed both Acorn and Nut at the same time.

" Adults and children alike love them the most, for they are strong and brave and natural leaders, not only for their teams but for the whole world. They can help us, we know they can!" 

So, Acorn and Nut travelled to Quatar, where the World Cup was being held, and there they found Messi and Reynaldo on the field, alone, kicking a ball back and forth with each other.

" Hello Messi, hello Reynaldo, we are Acorn and Nut. We have travelled from our beloved Enchanted Forest, all around  the world, to this place, Quatar, home of the World Cup, to meet you both. Our Mother Earth is very sick, and we need your help to reach as many people as possible as quickly as possible to help clean up the lands so she can breathe again. "

" Nice to meet you Acorn and Nut, thank you for coming here and sharing this with us. We must move fast for Mother Earth has always taken care of us, providing the world with fresh air and trees and nature, so now it is time we take care of her" exclaimed Reynaldo.

"Yes, let us all make a plan together and then Reynaldo and I can speak to the people of the world tomorrow evening at the World Cup opening ceremonies and tell them what we all must do to help make Mother Earth healthy again," said Messi. 

The next evening, at the opening of The World Cup, Messi and Reynaldo walked together to the middle of the huge soccer field with the stadiums filled with people and cameras broadcasting the event to the whole world to see.

 " Hello to all the people around this beautiful planet Earth! We are so happy that we can all be here to play soccer and bring all the countries of the world together.  But first we must all join together and help, because our beloved Mother Earth is very sick. She needs us all to act fast to help her get better, and we will only succeed if each and every one of us do our part.  We have made a list of things you can do in the next few weeks to help clean up Mother Earth. Then we will all meet here again on the last day of the World Cup, for the final game, and hopefully Mother Earth will be feeling better! " Said Messi.

" Good luck people of the world, we can do this!" exclaimed Reynaldo.

The world responded, led by the children, by heading out on a mission to clean up the earth!
