This week we looked at beebots in our workshop. 

Beebots are a tool that can be used in classrooms for activities such as coding

How Beebots Work

The lights flash when the beebot completes an action and then alternate flashing in each eye when the beebot is done its code

Beebots have four functions:

1. Arrows to direct which way they go

2. The go button to start it

3. The pause button to stop the beebot 

4. The clear button to start all over again

We first had time to mess around and get used to the beebot. This allowed us to get used to all the buttons and the way it moved

Cards

Lastly we used cards to predict the journey our beebot would go on and then put in the code to see if we were correct

Intention

We then chose somewhere to go to and tried to code the beebots into doing what we intended

Beebots can be used in Maths as it can help students to understand patterns using the cards as seen above. They can explore which pattern makes the beebot go where and why
