" THE RETURN. "
- I DON'T KNOW HOW ELSE TO NAME THIS CHAPTER NOTHING HAPPENS. - THE AUTHOUR OF THIS BOOK.
I ran to the portal, but since I lacked excercise like I still do now, I was completely out of breath. I realised that now I have to climb up a tree, which wasn't very helpful in this situation. I didn't know what the exact time was, so I had to hurry. It felt so weird to think that I haven't climbed a tree in years. I jumped on it and sorta just grabbed it and started climbing. I quickly climbed up to the portal and
crawled inside. I fell out of the washing machine only to see that my shift has already ended. I realised that if it wasn't winter it wouldn't still be so dark. I wouldn't be able to escape the land of non human creatures.
My friend that worked day shift in the laundromat was there, looking at something on his phone.
- DUDE!!! What are you doing in there!? - he said running up to me. His name was Luka Santos. Me and Luka were very different. Luka was the same age as me, but was very energetic yet easy going. He behaved like an 18 year old and kinda looked like one too. However I was always very calm. I liked walks and rainy days. I never liked going to the cinema or amusement parks. I wasn't a fan of parties either.
- Uh... just.... relaxing? - I replied.
- That doesn't look to comfortable. - said Luka. He helped me get up. - You look like you've been beat up or something. Are you okay??? - he told me.
- ...I'm just really tired... - I answered. I had no idea what else to say.
- Oh... Well, you should go home. Want me to come with you?
- But you're at work. - I replied.
- I'll still come.
- ... No thank you, I can go alone.
Lukas watched me as I walked out.
People didn't really come to the laundromat often.
Usually it was one person for every 48 hours ( two days ).
Plus, it was a small town.
So workers just sat there, doing nothing.
I went home and took a shower. After all that, I felt that the different world thing was real. However, it isn't really something believable. That's something we can all agree on. But I didn't have the energy to THINK. I was so tired!
So many things happened SO fast! I just fell right on my bed and fell asleep immedietly. I didn't care if it was day or not.
" MR. WEAVER"
I had my next shift.
Suprisingly, I was still quite exhausted.
I suddenly thought about Old Man John.
- Does he also go through all that running and tree climbing? He's like sixty years old! - I said to myself.
I didn't have the energy or desire to visit the Little Creature village, yet I somehow felt like I had too.
As if it was my duty. I was thinking about what will I do when they put up the cameras, which was only a few days away.
- Maybe my washing machine leads to another world too? - I thought.
I wasn't sure what to do.
Nobody was coming and I really didn't feel like doing anything.
I decided to go.
I was already prepared for the 3 meter fall and somehow landed properly. I knew I had to keep that up so I don't break something or hurt my neck.
And there I saw it.
The beautiful and peaceful Little Creature Village.
Veronica was very excited to see me, everyone was.
The fresh air and kind people made me happy.
Once again, the magic of that wonderful place made me forget about all my worries and problems.
I wanted to learn about the history and culture of the " non human " creatures.
- Do you have a library? - I asked.
- Oh, no. I'm afraid we don't. Any particular reason you want to go there? - said Mrs. Weaver.
- I want to learn a bit more about this place. The history.
- My husband is a history genius! - said Veronica.
- Oh, that's good! Can I meet him?
- Of course, he's a bit introverted though, which is why you haven't met him yet.
That was fine with me, I understood him completely.
We met, he told me some stuff ( page 14 ) , but he was very old and tired. Incredibly kind though, I really enjoyd his company. In his room there was hundreds of old books. He told me I can read them if I like. ( I most certainly did ). We had to leave him to rest after 30 min.
