Dedicated to my awesomely weird pup- who likes to run into walls, people, tables, etc.

Note to you all- this will be a very large book, so I’ll try to do at least two chapters a day. Thx!

Chapter one

Zip was bored. All he had done all day was lay around. So, he got up and trotted over to his humans. “I want to go out!” He whined. Of course, his humans did not understand him, but, they could infer he wanted to go outside.

Zip galloped over to his bone-hole and started to dig hyperly. Suddenly, a ring of light appeared!

Zip growled and tried to clamp his teeth off the ring. He didn’t feel too good. He flopped over and closed his eyes. 

“Where am I!?” Zip had woken to find himself laying in a soft white silk bed. He noticed another creature- a black metal wolf?! 

Chapter two

“Hello.” Said the metal wolf gruffly. “Where am i?!” Zip squeaked. He was shivering. “Welcome to the world of Samaru. It is a world in the realm of Keema.” Said the wolf, “i, am called Hawk’s Opal.” “Erm…. Interesting… I’m, uh, Zip.” Hawk started up again, “it is believed that only a mortal can save Keema, so, our ruler called for you. Follow me.” Zip trailed Hawk toward a glimmering, golden door that was far too big for him. Their ruler must be huge! Suddenly, a voice was sung to his ears.

“Hello. My name, is Brooke.”

Zip stared at the queen. She was a pure white wolf, but with flora growing all over her body! Beside her, sat a quivering, flaming bird. Brooke spoke, “this is Found.” She said, noticing him staring at them.

“The realm of Keema needs your help. First, you must retrieve the Gem of Samaru, a ruby. Then, the Gem of Kato, a jade. Lastly, the Gem of the Mortal World, a sapphire.” Said Brooke. Zip studdered a word. ‘O-ok.” “I almost forgot Dragonmainia! Their gem is an opal. Anyway, you will need a companion. Meet Libby, high queen and chosen one of Dragonmainia!”

Chapter three

A young, golden dragon with black tips and kind, rainbow eyes stepped out. “Hi. If Brooke hasn’t told you, I’m a rainbow dragon. I tried to get our opal from our keyper, but she challenged me.” Zip thought he was expected to answer, “um ok… but, dont you need to rule your… dragons?” Libby giggled. “Ive been on the most dangerous of quests before and always with friends,” she turned to face Brooke, “can the others come too?” She asked. “You mean Zera, Sirrock , and Coral? Sure!

Libby fumbled with a locket on her neck and vaneshed! she reappered a few seconds later with a chimera, a hippogriff, and a pegasus! "guys, this is Zip! Zip, these are the other chosen ones, Zera, the brainiest, Sirrock, the strongest , and Coral, the fastest!" “Well, Libby” said sirrock, “you’re supposed to be the bravest and you dont even mention it.” ‘Um, i heard you say keyper, Libby. What does that mean?”

Chapter four

“oh!” Said Zera, “a keyper is like a big cat. It holds a key around it’s neck and keeps the gem of that world.” “The Samaru keyper, a golden cheetah named Swift Oar, lives in a cave near the Glissening Pool.” Sirrock commented.”the other keypers, the Mortals, a lion called cave, Kato’s, a snow leopard named Astr, Breempi’s (the main world of Keema), a tiger named Scroll, and Dragonmania’s, a one headed chimera called Stork.”

Zip had just finished packing up, and joined the others to start their journey. Coral had been making jokes when Zera rolled her eyes. “Chill, coral. Let’s get going.” She said. ‘I’ve got a teleportation stone. Swift’s Domane!” She yelled! The next moment, they were in a cave with smooth walls and a small supply of water trickling from a hole in the ceiling. A cheetah sat near the pool. “Ive been waiting. Welcome.”

Chapter five

"How did you know?"asked Zip with a bewildered face. "i saw you apprere through the portal. ive got good, young eyes you know." said Swift. he raced over to them and nuddged a ruby toward him. "now, you better get going. Kato needs you!"

In a swirl of glitter, the group had teleported to a wintery wonderland. "ouch!" Libby had landed on a pure white tiger cub! "watch the tail!"

"Who are you?" "well, im Shimmer, a crystal blitz." said the tiger. Zera trotted over to Zip. Her lion head growled, "i think we better stay back." Her goat head reached forward, "you go without us." "Get the jade..." her snake tail whispered. "ok." Zip felt confedent. he took a deep breath and trotted out into the wilderness...

chapter six

Where am i? a creack sounded from nearby. Zip twrirled around to see a lardge, very fluffy, snow white leopard with spots so pale they were almost invisible. Zip looked deep into the milky blue leopard's eyes. "Welcome, Zip Burrow. My name is Astr."

 Zip noticed a pale green gem tucked between his paws. Astr's eyes glowed, "take the crystal, dont be whisfull. Beware the missol." Zip shivered, "One shall not continue, one shall be left behind..."

chapter seven

“I think i broke a wing bone from that fall…” Libby winced. “I better head back with Shimmer”, she nodded at the unconscious blitz. “I’ll go with you guys, after all, i have a teleportation stone. Zip can ride on Sirrock or Coral on the way to the other worlds.” Said Zera with a stubborn smile. Zip slid onto Coral’s back. “You look like you’ve seen a spirit!” She whinneed.

“Let’s go see Stork.” Zip whined. “Zip?…” said Sirrock right before the pup fainted.

Chapter eight

Zip opeaned one eye. A gaping blackness. The other? Fine. Zip whined. He started to paw at his eye. Theeen he relised three other creatures were staring at him. Hawk, with a what-are-you-doing sort of face,  Libby, who was oviously triying to hide her laughter, and Shimmer, who looked very amused.

"the healer says you could be permanetly half-blind." says Hawk in a-matter-of-fact tone of voice. "b-blind?" Zip whispered back. "yes, blind." answered Hawk, now annoued. "we all are going to rest here for a few days before we get going. again. Butthe healer insistes you get a companion." said Libby. "i told her to get you a mini wyvern, like mine, but she got you a fylax, a sassy little griffon owl." a golden phoenix strolled in. "Meet Jinx."

chapter nine

A small, shivering calico-snow fylax was being pulled in on a leash. Its eyes were wide with terror. "You take that of her this instant!" growled Zip. His eyes widened. He had never growled at anyone, he was too shy. Then he noticed Libby staring at him. "what." "Your-your... " she trailed off. Zip stared at his paws. They were glowing with light! Suddenly, he was it a forest of light. he thought  powerful creature, he didnt know why. Then he was back in the room.

There was a dragon, a small one with only front legs. It looked somewhat transparent. It congured a glowing sphere and it absorbed Jinx's vine leash. "urr?" the fylax looked down at her chest, gave it a lick, and scampered over to Zip. "Welcome home Jinx!"

Chapter ten

“We need to talk.” Libby pulled Zip, with Jinx bounding after, behind a curtain. “The reason why you were called here was that… that a darkness is awakening. I need you to go back to Astr. He’ll know what it is.
