Once upon a time there was a kid
named John Sleepy. John lived
with his parents and one sister.
John loved his family no matter
what. He also loved playing
soccer.

Most of his friends played soccer
and he wanted to play too. All his
friends called him by his last name
Sleepy. Every chance he got he
wanted to watch soccer on tv or go
outside and play soccer with his
friends.

One Saturday Sleepy saw
where their were gonna be
sign-ups to register to play
soccer for the city league. He
begged his mom and dad to
sign him up. They finally said
they would do it.

Sleepy knew it was gonna be
hard work because most kids
have played since they were
like 4 years old. If Sleepy
wanted to play and get a
starting position he had to train
really hard.

After sign-ups that Saturday
Sleepy went and got him so
real Adidas cleats, shin guards,
and a soccer ball. Sleepy got
Adidas cleats because his
favorite soccer player Lionel
Messi wears adidas.

Sleepy got some of his friends
in his neighborhood to help him
get a little better. Sleepy
worked really hard. He had a
friend that was a senior that
helped him and worked out
with.

Sleepy got the phone call to tell
him whose team he was on. He
found out the next day that
most of his friends were on that
team. Sleepy went to the first
practice that Thursday. He
wasn't as good as everybody
else.

Sleepy tried his hardest though
he knew he wasn't the best. Even
know he wasn't very good, when
they did wind sprints he was right
their with the fastest dude on the
team. He was kinda muscular so
the coach said we would try him
out at defense.

The next practice on that
Sunday afternoon they did wind
sprints, defense drills, offense
drills, and at the end they had a
scrimmage. Sleepy was one of
the defenders. He played right
outside defender.

One of the players on the other
team was dribbling down the
field and Sleepy came out of
know where and took the ball
right off his feet. He could boot
the ball down the field. They
would call him sometimes iron
feet.

Sleepy's team would go on to
win the scrimmage. Monday all
of his friends were talking about
if he kept working hard he could
try-out for the school team next
year. That Thursday instead of
having practice they had a real
game against North West
Rankin.

That game he started out at
defense. One of their players
came down the field and Sleepy
was defending him. The coach
told one of the other defenders go
help him Sleepy, but before he
knew it Sleepy had the ball going
the other way. He passed it to the
forward and they scored.

The score was 1-0 they went on
winning 4-0. They had a
tournament the next weekend.
Sleepy worked really hard the
next practices. He worked out
and trained. Finally arrived the
tournament. There were teams
from all over Mississippi their.

Sleepy was kinda getting nervous,
but not really. Their first game was
at 9:00. Your about to find out
why they called him Sleepy. Every
Morning Sleepy has kinda of bags
under his eyes because he is tired.
It was 8:00 he had to get ready in
like 15 minutes. He had to be at
the field 8:30.
