Once upon a time, in a cozy little village on the outskirts of a big city, there lived a group of turkeys. These turkeys were unlike any other turkeys you have ever seen. They were friendly, helpful and loved to have fun. They would spend their days chasing each other, pecking at seeds, and gobbling up tasty treats.

One day, while the turkeys were busy pecking at seeds, the ground beneath them started to shake. At first, they thought it was just one of their silly friends playing a prank on them, but soon the shaking became so intense that they knew something was not right.

The turkeys were frightened and did not know what to do. They had never experienced anything like this before. Suddenly, one of the older turkeys remembered a story that his grandfather had told him. He said, "When the earth shakes like this, it means that there is an earthquake."

The turkeys didn't know what an earthquake was, but they trusted the older turkey and listened closely as he explained. He told them that an earthquake is a sudden and violent shaking of the earth's surface. It can be very dangerous and cause a lot of damage to homes and buildings.
