There once was a little girl named Sally. 

It was her first day of school, and she had no friends.

She was nervous about meeting new people, she didn't know what to do. 

At school, she saw a Softball Tryout flyer, and thought this might be her chance!

Sally said that if she made the team, and won the big game, she would certainly make friends!

So she borrowed a glove and ball from her sister, and was off!

She even asked her sister to help her practice everyday. 

With just a glove and a ball on hand, 

She practiced catching the ball in both underhand and overhand.

She decided to give it her all and practice, practice,

Sally was determined to make the team, and was as excited as a cactus!

Day of tryouts, Sally was so nervous. 

The coach made her run,

The coach made her throw

The coach made her catch

The coach made her swing

The coach made her hit

The coach made her slide

The coach made her sprint

The coach then made her part of the team!
