To the tapestry of oozing yolk down the white slate one calls your choices...

Say hello to Eddie!
But Eddie is not really a good first grade boy.
He gets into trouble all the time!
He is usually very angry and throws tantrums to other kids.
Worst of all, he doesn't have many friends...
(Exposition 1)

😭 😭 😭 😭
😡

😠
Here is Eddie, playing a game of Checkers with other kids.
Oh no! Eddie can't move his piece, he has lost the game of Checkers!
He throws a tantrum in front of the other kids, breaking their Checkers set and making a mess of the class!
"Apologize to Betty, Eddie!" his teacher called him, "You threw her Checkers set!"
"No." (Exposition 2)

😔 😔
His parents ground him but he never changes!
This time, he went to the principal for breaking a chair in class.
"How can a first grade student be so mean to other students!?" his teacher yelled.
(Exposition 3)

"Eddie, you must listen to us because WE ARE YOUR ELDERS!" yelled his father
"Why should I, listen to you?" replied Eddie.
"BECAUSE OF WHAT THE SAGE CONFUCIUS TAUGHT, it is that you must treat your parents, like us, with respect to keep our harmony together!" his mother yelled (Richey).
Eddie came home from school early that same day to see his lovely parents, while holding a white slip in his hand.
(Exposition 4)

His parents are sad and even angry, and they want to set the worst punishment yet...
but they knew their son was not bad, he is a good boy but he does not know it! (Mark).
They must find a way to solve this by not punishing him but guiding, like Confucius had taught, which is what the parents told each other (Elshaikh).
(Exposition 5)

😁
😁

When they all were eating, they made eggs for Eddie in the morning.
Then, they saw Eddie's egg and got an idea to teach Eddie a lesson, so they pulled out an egg to show Eddie.
The parents called the school and principal, and told Eddie, "Do not break this egg for the next 2 days and we will buy you your favorite BIG car that you can drive!"
(Conflict Introduced 1)

😁
Eddie laughed and said, "This will be easy!" and took the egg.
He put the egg in a bag, blanket, backpack, and his dad drove him to school.
All Eddie could think about was this egg and the car.
Eddie smiled opened up his car door.
Ten minutes of quietness in the car ride, and Eddie is at school.
(Conflict Introduced 2)

😶
🫤
"Son, why are you focused at the egg like that," Eddie's father asked him.
"There is no 'why,'" Eddie took a deep breath out of the car, "The Egg is my friend, he helps me relax.
"What color should my car be, I think I'd want it to be blue," Eddie talks to himself, walking through the path of people.
(Rising Action 1)

When he was alone, he took the egg out of his backpack and checked it.
He didn't see any damage on the egg!
"I knew this challenge would be easy! Oh what fun we are going to have together!"
The Egg nodded back.
(Rising Action 2)

!?
"Over here," came a voice from behind Eddie.
Suddenly, Eddie saw a floating chicken in an egg behind him.
Eddie asked, "Who are you!?"
The Egg replied, "I'm The Egg~."
(Rising Action 3)

😮

😊
"How can you talk? Eggs can't talk!" Eddie yelled to himself.
"Oh but I can! Everything here is alive! The pencils, buildings, ground, the sky, it is all alive and here!" the egg told back (Kiste, Suggs, Kahn).
"I can say we are close by an energy from nature that wants me to be with you. I will protect you" the egg added (Dickie).
"We have nature magic that brings us closer, like those old stories from the Primal Pacific Islanders?" Eddie looked on and smiled (Laura). (Rising Action 4)

🤨
"Um, sure we can say that..." The Egg said.
"Well, what do we do now?" Eddie asked it.
"I can be your friend! Let's get that car!" The Egg told Eddie.
"WOW! THAT IS FANTASTIC!" Eddie screamed.
"Eddie, who are you talking to?" the teacher asked him.
"Just a friend!" Eddie lied. (Rising Action 5)

At recess, Eddie was talking to the egg. Eddie believed that The Egg was the God and that all eggs are the path to happiness.
He took the egg out and played with it like a toy car. Eddie tended the thing like his own child!
When walking home, he would only smile and throw his hands in the air, counting the minutes for until the two days pass up.
When his parents checked, he would show its white shell happily.
(Rising Action 6)

Then, next day, Eddie was happily looking at The Egg, a person ran up in front of Eddie, very tired. It was Eddie's friend.
"Eddie, I need your help!" he said, "It's really important!"
"What is it, Marc?" Eddie told him.
"You look nice to ask so I want you to wash and clean Betty's gift she received for her birthday!" Marc told Eddie.
"What did she get?" Eddie asked.
(Rising Action 7

Cheep!

???
"A driving toy car," Marc replied.
"What?" Eddie told back, "Can I do that right now?"
"Yes, that is why I asked you right now!" Marc yelled.
Eddie felt The Egg lean on his shoulder, "Take it."
"If you take the car, no one will ever find out~" The Egg teased.
"Alright then," Eddie looked behind him.
(Rising Action 8)

😶
😟

😊
"What's that egg for by the way, and you're never this calm and quiet. That's also why I came here to ask," asked Marc.
"The Egg is my friend, he helps me relax,"
Eddie coldly gazed at him.
An hour and a half passed, it was almost lunch and Eddie raised his hand to use the restroom!
"You're not planning on anything doing again, are you?" Eddie's teacher asked him. (Rising Action 9)

😒

😩

🙏
"Of course not!" Eddie smiled back to her.
The teacher looks down on him, "You may go."
In his pocket, Eddie had brought along his egg in case his teacher checked up on his backpack.
Eddie finds Betty's car and steals it!
"Hide it somewhere no one will look for and I will have done my job for you!" The Egg said.
"Thank you so much Egg!" Eddie cried out, "I never even knew what you were." (Rising Action 10)

😡 😡 😡 😡

😧

🏃💨
"The bell is going to ring!" Eddie told The Egg, "We better get going!"
On their way to the secret place, Eddie bumps into the group of kids he had lost to in checkers...
and they were friends of Betty!
They knew that the car wasn't Eddie's, so Eddie ran off. However, once they had looked to Betty's classroom...
(Rising Action 11)

😡 😡 😡 😡
😡

💥

😭
Eddie ran up to them and angrily pushed one of them!
Suddenly, they had gotten into a massive fight and then the ball rang!
All the students came out to seeing the big mess on the ground in the classroom area.
Once again, the teacher had to take them all into the principal's office.
When Eddie is sent to the principal's office for the eleventh time, he hears Betty cry out, "Where is my car!?" (Rising Action 12)

🥺 🥺 🥺 🥺

Now, they were in the principal's office, Mrs. Williams', and she was not happy.
The kids had been arguing and yelling for ten minutes, except for Eddie
"Why did you guys do all of this?" Mrs. Williams had asked kindly.
"EDDIE HIT US FIRST! HE DID IT, HE DID IT!" the kids point to Eddie.
"I did it for this," Eddie pulled out his egg.
(Rising Action 13)

😖

The egg had looked like it was moving.
Everyone went quiet.
"Can the rest of you go outside for a few minutes? I need to talk to Eddie by myself," announced the principal.
As everyone left, the principal's eyes only looked at the egg, and then she knew Eddie a little bit better.
(Rising Action 14)

🙂
😔
"What do you do at home, Eddie?" asked his principal.
"I will soon get a toy car from my parents, ma'am," told Eddie.
"Last ten visits were for the same reason but this one is not the same anger. Why is that?" responded the principal.
...
"The Egg is my friend, he helps me relax,"
(Rising Action 15)
