It was a cold winter afternoon. The weather 

was awfully bipolar, snowing one day then 

warmer the next. Ally really needed to get 

some groceries because she was out of food at 

home. She trudged her way through the 

iridescent snow to the grocery store. 

After climbing the gradient, she finally made 

it to the grocery store. Upon her arrival she 

ran into her voluble neighbor who would not 

stop gossiping. She quickly ran to the fruit 

section to get away from the facile woman. 

She happily picked some apples and mangoes 

along with some delicious cereal from the next 

isle.

Ally skipped to the cookie isle humming a little 

cantata. She adored cookies, especially warm 

chocolate chip. After grabbing a couple boxes 

she went to the dairy section and grabbed 

some milk.

Grocery shopping was something Ally actually 

enjoyed. After getting everything she needed, 

she went to check out. The cashier told her the 

total and then said that she should be careful 

because there were sketchy people out and 

about tonight. Ally dismissed the comment and 

payed. She went and sat on the bench to 

people watch for a couple minutes.
