Madison is an 8 year old girl who lives in South Los Angeles. She loves to play outdoors with Ollie, her new pet dog.

Madison is trying to teach Ollie new tricks during summer vacation. However, she notices that Ollie gets tired fast because it is really hot outside and there are no trees in her neighborhood to provide shade. 

Madison remembers that her parents have beach umbrellas stored in the back yard. She takes them out and decided to plant them in the front yard.
