Carnegie began working at 12 years old

He also educated himself day and night, for it was his future he wanted to control

He soon became the boss of the Pittsburgh railroad company

This is where he began to earn a lot of money

Now Carnegie didn't just stop there

He invested in several companies, at this point he was someone who couldn't be compared

But what Carnegie was best known for was his contribution to steel in the early years of the United States

As the US grew people and products needed a way to get place to place at cheap rates

So Carnegie was able to create a way to make steel easy and fast

Which grew the railroad system and helped connect the East and West at last.

This company of his was known as the Carnegie steel company

which became a threat to competitors, but also a famous name to plenty

But this competition was not a worry for Carnegie 

He controlled every part of the steel-making process, putting them out of business and making him more wealthy
