Well, young reader, this is a story about a young girl named Catelyn who didn’t listen to anyone so something happened to her. So, let’s find out…

Chapter#1: Out with the day, and into the night. 

    Catelyn Anderson, a young girl, loved to read! But never listened to her parents or, even anyone! Catelyn was sitting on her bed reading scary books, (her favorite thing to read ) her parents asked her to go to bed 4 hours ago, but, here she was sitting under her comforter, and reading a book. When she finally finished reading her book she decided that after school tomorrow, she would visit Mr. Linden’s library (a new library in town) to get a more spine-chilling book than this book. So, she finally went to bed. The next morning, her mom tried to wake Catelyn up but failed to pull her off the bed, and then asked Catelyn to wake up or she would be late for school. But, unfortunately, a girl as stubborn as Catelyn would not listen to anyone! So, when she got to school it was Lunchtime already, but she was glad! “ Not so much more school,” she thought. After lunch, she skipped school and walked to the library and saw Mr. Linden standing at the front desk….

   Catelyn asked Mr. Linden if he had any new scary books and he said he had a few, so he took Catelyn to the library’s secret room, where he stored all the new books, and said, “ What type of scary books are you partially looking for?” “I don’t know, but something super-duper scary!!!!” she replied. So, he handed her a book that was the scariest, on the bookshelf. On their way out, Catelyn saw a secret compartment in the bookshelf. So she opened it of course! Inside, she found a book! A Red book, red as blood! So, do you know what she did? Yes! She grabbed the book and put it in her bag. On her way out she asked Mr. Linden what the book was, and he said, “ where in the world did you find this?!” “I found this on a bookshelf on my way out of that room you showed me,” she said.

When she got home, she realized that no one was home! So, she ran to her bedroom, grabbed her favorite bag of chips, and locked the door. When she sat on her bed, she got the book out of her bag and started to open the book.
